What you need are thoughts on Honey for a 40 year old woman.........

Snowydaysarehere · 17/02/2018 19:20

Hun for short!!?? Grin

peachypetite · 17/02/2018 19:20

Yuck.

HotCrossBunFight · 17/02/2018 19:21

It's a great name for a puppy, less so a human baby

Annabelle4 · 17/02/2018 19:22

Eastenders character.
Haven't heard it in RL.

Cute for a little girl, but It would be hard to be taken seriously as an adult.

NotSureThisIsWhatIWant · 17/02/2018 19:22

She will be patronisedly called “honey” repeatedly throughout her life.

Get her a proper name, she is not a puppy (but if you are a celebrity you may be able to get away with it)

Mumzywumzy2 · 17/02/2018 19:22

Don’t hold back 😆
I’m not sure it’s just one of them I think could be nice then I get my logical head back on and think hmmm maybe not

I like it, but I do agree that it will probably make life a little more difficult for her than others.

Playdohnut · 17/02/2018 19:25

It's like "Baby". Or "Sweetie". Fine as a nickname, weirdly impersonal as an actual name.

flumpybear · 17/02/2018 19:25

Ug! No, give her a name not a food source

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/02/2018 19:26

I know one. She would be about 13 now. So to me it is a name. But i wouldnt use it myself.

DramaAlpaca · 17/02/2018 19:27

It would be lovely on a girl - as long as the girl is a golden Labrador.

Gumbo · 17/02/2018 19:27

Don't do it! There was a child called that at my DS''s school, and no matter how long I knew the poor child it always sounded riculuous. Poor kid is in high school now and I can't imagine she's having an easy time with a name like that...

SnowannaRainbow · 17/02/2018 19:27

Always reminds me of The Incredibles.

Honey
DwangelaForever · 17/02/2018 19:29

Reminds me of eastenders

MrsElvis · 17/02/2018 19:32

I like it 🔥flame me now 🔥

TheRedHatofPatFerrick · 17/02/2018 19:33

Don't do it. Middle name perhaps? Imagine if she married Mr Potts and took his surname?

Sparklesdontshine · 17/02/2018 19:33

I like it Blush

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/02/2018 19:35

Far too twee and i like sweets y ie ending names.

Zhx3 · 17/02/2018 19:35

I know one and she is lovely. Haven't seen anyone making fun of her name.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 17/02/2018 19:36

I know a very bright 13 or 14 yo called Honey. Unfortunately I can't help being slightly surprised she's so able and down to earth. My own prejudices showing, sorry.

greendale17 · 17/02/2018 19:36

It’s a good name for an escort or a porn star

Loveache · 17/02/2018 19:37

I like the way it sounds but don't think it's an appropriate name for a person.

So when a male colleague calls her at work...Honey can you help me? When a colleague calls her and the gf/wife hears half the conversation...Sure Honey I’ll give you a ride on Monday...
Life’s too short, that name will be troublesome
