In my junior school class alone there were 4 of us. At high school another 6 or 7. I've never met another one at work though but do know 3 other school gate mums none of which actually use their name, they all use middle names or nick names. I actually really dislike my name.

Only my dm uses my name. DH calls me by a nick name and I'm always shocked to hear someone call me by my name. I keep meaning to pick a new one that I actually like.

Loads of babies keep popping up with it. In fact I met one yesterday, and her brother had the boy version of the name!! Shock

masktaster · 22/02/2018 18:58

Lots. It's been top 100 for as long as the ONS has been collating it.

Most use nicknames, though. I don't, and don't meet many who use the whole thing.

pipilangstrumpf · 22/02/2018 19:03

None!

joystir59 · 22/02/2018 19:06

No one

Youvegotafriendinme · 22/02/2018 19:08

I went to school with one but she spelt it a totally different way and I served a customer at work who had the same name, same spelling

holycityzoo · 22/02/2018 19:11

None in England loads in Italy. There is one famous one that people have heard of in this country (think Versace)

Flamingoose · 22/02/2018 19:17

God. Loads. There are currently 5 of us at work. 3 more in my personal life. 2 more in my immediate family. Countless others over the years. It's really shit. I have never been known just as my first name. Always need some other descriptor. My children are all called things like Harlequin-Harbour-Agamemnon* so they don't have the same experience.

I've only met another 2. 1 at school and one at work. I can think of a few famous ones 2 Americans and an Australian. All around the same age. I've never met or heard of a younger one.

timeistight · 22/02/2018 19:38

Three, but we were all given the name in the 1950s when it was going right out of fashion.

phoenix1973 · 22/02/2018 19:41

None and i love it.

Chillywhippet · 22/02/2018 19:43

Sarah. It’s so common it’s not even outing, in top 20 from 1960-2000.

I have an unusual surname which helps, as middle names are no help. We are mostly Sarah Louise or Sarah Jane

In my peer group we get called Sarah P, Sarah T, American Sarah etc

My sister in law is called Sarah and changed her surname when she married DB. It’s weird seeing stuff at their house with my name on, like a TV licence on the notice board.

My DC have names not in top 100 the year before they were born but actually did make the list later. They have been at school with one other in whole school or none.

My cousin thought I was being snobby but I was trying to find names that were sensible names but wouldn’t condem them to a lifetime of turning in the supermarket/street but then realising the person saying your name doesn’t mean you Blush

DryIce · 22/02/2018 19:44

I've met the odd one over the course of my life, but right now don't know any

Summerisdone · 22/02/2018 19:46

I’ve personally known 2, one was a neighbour when we were both 8 and the other was in my class at college. I have heard of a few others over the years but not many. My name’s not unusual or anything, just not very common ether though

AthenasOwl · 22/02/2018 19:50

I went to secondary with 2 others who shared my name..iv not met another one to my knowledge since I left school that's 21 years ago! Just realised how old I am lol

FoofFighter · 22/02/2018 19:51

Never met another.

Trailedanderror · 22/02/2018 19:54

None! I've had friends with sisters the same name, but can't think of anyone I've known. Which is weird. It's very common and you'll definitely know 'samenames'.

Tiddlywinks63 · 22/02/2018 20:00

Three or four possibly?
None spelt the same way either.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 22/02/2018 20:03

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 22/02/2018 20:04
