About 247,345,071.

Only a couple and none for ages til my brother introduced his new girlfriend with my name! Luckily she is lovely Smile

There were 4 people in my year at school with my first name. I have several friends that share my first name. I currently have 5 work colleagues (one of whom I shared an office with for several years) with my first name. My name was very popular when I was born and is still considered very classic. It's a nice name but very boring, at least my surname is unusual.

My children all have names that

LinoleumBlownapart · 17/02/2018 23:08

An old friend of my mothers that I was named after (first and middle name). One mother at my children's old school with the same first name and two famous people that I've never met, one has both my first and middle name.

Angelika321 · 17/02/2018 23:13

I'm fairly sure I'm the only person in England with my first name.

dotdotdotmustdash · 17/02/2018 23:15

I was idly looking through a staff list in the building I worked in and decided to find the most common first name among the women.

It was my name, there were 7 of us among about 60 women.

I've moved to a new workplace now and there are only 4 of us, although 3 of us are in my department of 12 women!

TheScottishPlay · 17/02/2018 23:18

My DM and about 4 other people ranging in age from 15 to 90.
It's a name DM calls 'quietly classic'.

RazzleDazzle3 · 17/02/2018 23:21

None, now and again will say I know another razzledazzle3, but personally I know none.

Taffeta · 17/02/2018 23:23

I’m 50, and I’ve only ever met one, in the last few years.

Changednamejustincase · 17/02/2018 23:25

Went to school with one and recently met another, the mother of one of my DC's classmates. So I don't know any really as haven't seen the first in more than 20 years and haven't said more than 'hello' to the other one.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 17/02/2018 23:28

One other at my year at secondary school. None currently that I know.

DiegoMadonna · 17/02/2018 23:29

Tons. My name's been in the top 10 for decades. Two of my best friends have the same name as me.

Never bothered me though really. I never really thought about it.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 17/02/2018 23:30

However, my three best friends (one of whom is my cousin) all have exactly the same name. We used a hilarious variety of nicknames over the years (and currently) to distinguish between them!) Grin

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 17/02/2018 23:30

I have a traditional but unusual name. I've met a handful in my lifetime. Usually this results in a conversation along the lines of "oh my god another person named xxx"

Unfortunately this also means I get a lot of people calling me by the more common version of my first name, and a lot of emails addressed to names that are only slightly similar to my own, despite the fact that my name is in the email address they've just typed in!

Pinkponiesrock · 17/02/2018 23:31

No that many actually, maybe about 10 which thinking about it seems really low as it’s a very common name.

It was even more popular when I young, every second person has my middle name though!

dantdmistedious · 17/02/2018 23:37

None. It's much more popular now than when I was small but I've still never met one.

GoldenWorld · 18/02/2018 07:18

I know 2 adults and a few children.

Ellybellyboo · 18/02/2018 07:34

No adults, but quite a few children

Autumnchill · 18/02/2018 07:36

One but weirdly went to a small unique hotel a couple of years ago, only 4 couples staying and all of the women shared the same name!

PenelopePickle · 18/02/2018 07:37

I went to school with 1, and I know of a few children with my first name.

Very surprising considering how high up in the name charts it's always been.

BornInALighthouse · 18/02/2018 07:38

2, a teacher at school and an older distant cousin.

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 18/02/2018 07:41

There's a lady who used to run a shoe shop in the town I live that has the same name as me. She's around 40 years older than me. There's also well known politician with my name but I've only ever actually met one person who I share my name with

candlefloozy · 18/02/2018 07:42

None. I went to primary school with one. That's it.

NeeChee · 18/02/2018 07:42

Mine wasn't a popular name when I was born, no one else in my school year. But since, its become really popular for little girls. I'm the only one at work, which is good because I have a long surname and can't be bothered to tell people it.

Rinceoir · 18/02/2018 07:46

Mine is very common among Irish women my age and up to about 10 years older. Haven’t met one more than a few months younger than me!
