Opinions/ middle names for Rogue

I have been looking for names for a little while. I want something unusual thats not going to crop up everywhere and Rogue is the only name ive really fallen in love with! I would use it for either a boy or a girl. Middle name for a boy would be John after a family member, but im worried Rogue John sounds a bit like a dodgy curry! Middle names for a girl would either be Evangeline, joan or Elizabeth. Does anyone have any opinions/suggestions/alternatives? (No Rogans or logans please!)

Giving your child the name Rogue is like giving them a facial spiderweb tattoo.

MiddleClassProblem · 28/01/2018 21:26

I don’t think Rogue has the same connotations anymore as “thug” or “villain” etc as it’s mostly used in a jovial way or as the phrase “loveable rogue” and used in a quaint (is that the right word?) way. I think it only has a negative in a working sort of environment, suggesting their untrustworthy.

I reckon in 100 years it will probably not have negative connotations as it will be fine but unfortunately your DS would have to live and work acreally long time to get there. Not impossible though withedicak advancements and the retirement age evaporating.

MiddleClassProblem · 28/01/2018 21:27

greathat no that would be Logan

StarUtopia · 28/01/2018 21:29

Is this a joke?

Bit like the daft parent in my child's class who has called their child 'Lies'

Great start to life.

Seriously. Just pick a normal name. Plenty out there!

BakedBeans47 · 28/01/2018 21:31

Rogue? Seriously?

Anything you can team with it is just going to make him (or her) sound like a dodgy used car salesman (or woman). It’s bloody awful OP. Vogue is horrendous as well.

Seriously out of all the names out there, there must be other options?!Confused

Best one yet was Satan-Rogue.
I think if you tried to name your child rogue you might even get stopped from doing so by the registrar.
If you are considering naming your child a word rather than a name then always a good idea to check the dictionary definition.

Satan is a banned bane in Australia

MiddleClassProblem · 28/01/2018 21:38

RebelRogue · 28/01/2018 21:40

Rogue Bane

MiddleClassProblem · 28/01/2018 21:44

It’s a crossover

GinIsIn · 28/01/2018 21:47

Rogue Wave?

Seeingthings38 · 28/01/2018 21:48

When I was growing up the people over the road did actually call their baby girl Vouge.

The piss taking was immense. Just don't do it op. It tantamount to child cruelty.

FurCoatFurKnickers · 28/01/2018 21:53

I like the suggestion by VanillaSugar but, being pedantic, it's

Tarquin Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim-bus-stop-F'tang-F'tang-Olé-Biscuitbarrel (Rogue for short)

BattleCuntGalactica · 28/01/2018 21:53

Trololololololoolllllll...

@DiegoMadonna HAHAHAHAHAHA

balaclavaknickers · 28/01/2018 21:55

there is a kid down the road from me whose name is Raider. the catholic school told his mam that she had to change his name to go there.

he is mostly feral and spends lots of time in the bushes at the end of the road. i can't for sure say whether this has anything to do with his name or no.

Smoliver · 28/01/2018 21:56

I actually quite like Rogue - far better than some names I've heard of, believe me! I think it works on a girl. Her name could be shortened to Ro as a cute little nickname. As for middle names, I like Rogue Evangeline.

Name your child what you want, they're your baby at the end of the day.

OlyRoller · 28/01/2018 21:58

Lies is a Dutch name, a form of Elizabeth.

peachypetite · 28/01/2018 22:00

Why saddle your poor child with a name with bad connotations? Genuinely don't understand it.

greathat · 28/01/2018 22:02

Middleclass but that's his real name isn't it. Rogue and wolverine are the code names... (x-men knowledge may be rusty)

Purplehammer · 28/01/2018 22:03

Flaming Norah.
It’s worse than Ed Balls calling a daughter Ophelia.

JustHereForThePooStories · 28/01/2018 22:03

Rogue Runner

That made me snort with laughter!

How about Rogue Chinhair?
