Opinions/ middle names for Rogue

I have been looking for names for a little while. I want something unusual thats not going to crop up everywhere and Rogue is the only name ive really fallen in love with! I would use it for either a boy or a girl. Middle name for a boy would be John after a family member, but im worried Rogue John sounds a bit like a dodgy curry! Middle names for a girl would either be Evangeline, joan or Elizabeth. Does anyone have any opinions/suggestions/alternatives? (No Rogans or logans please!)

You CANNOT call your child - who will one day be an adult - rogue. It's dreadful. You child will be judged. He or she will probably be bullied. They might struggle to get jobs.

MN baby names thread is my guilty pleasure but I rarely feel the need to comment. But Rogue, ffs OP.

You do know the definition of 'rogue', don't you? What an awful thing to name a child. Kids don't like weird names, but that would be beyond weird - just cruel.

OP, I am all for alternative names, and love word name names more than any other! But Rogue just doesn't have a good meaning (though neither does John - toilet, Johnny - condom, Nick - thief, Pat - cow poo).

You need a normal one to balance it out a bit. Something like Sean, Daniel or Balonz.

Lies is a German/Dutch name pronounced Leece. As in Liesel.

This isn't about choosing an odd or unusual name. It isn't about having creativity crushed. Its about not realising that this isn't a name but a word used to describe a bad person, which is in common usage - it isn't a name with historical connections to something unsavoury but a word commonly used to describe criminals, wide boys and con merchants. Would op have considered con artist as a name, or cheat or petty theif? Surely not.
Its not just about how's word sounds but its meaning too. I might like the sound that the word prostitute makes....but I wouldn't choose it because everyone knows what it means.
I suspect OP didn't fully understand what it means because no one would call their child thief, scoundrel or bad person if they realised its in common usage to describe people who carry out behaviours we don't consider socially acceptable. How about Waster or Scrounger? Thrymight roll off the tounge nicely but that doesn't mean they are suitable as names.

Makes me think some people have limited vocabularies. They don't use the word rogue, so don't realise its in common use to describe low level criminals and those who carry out bad behaviour. For these people its just a nice sounding word. It would be a shame if a child got a name like this which is a word in wide use, just because a parent didn't know or realise. And its a greater shame thatvwhen this is explained to them, they still don't understand why its inappropriate.
