Hi, I've posted on here quite abit lately so sorry inadvance! I'm so indecisive!

So I've fallen in love with the name Logan for a girl😍😍 but I'm thinking maybe it would be best to have it double-barralled so it's clearly she's a girl!

Anyone got any ideas of double barrel for Logan?

TIA xx

Loganne is inspired.

CuppaTeaTime2 · 20/01/2018 16:46

It's awful for a boy or girl (sorry).

Kellyturnbull · 20/01/2018 19:51

Love Logan for a girl. I wouldn’t double barrel the name as it’s lovely as it is but would give her a very feminine middle name like Rose, Lily, Grace, Kate etc
Personally love the sound of Logan Lily ‘Smith’ 😊💞 x

GummyGoddess · 20/01/2018 19:58

Logan was 26 on the name list for boys last year, so not wanting her to be one of multiple Logan's won't work as there were a few thousand born. As a PP said, she'd be 'girl-Logan' instead of Logan X.

Google 'dark greener names' and then you can see how many babies were born in the last few years by name if that is one of your criteria.

I actually prefer it for a girl than a boy - hate it for a boy & mildly dislike it for a girl (definitely don't double barrell it if you use it though).

leannejade · 20/01/2018 21:44

I love the name Logan for a girl!

I've given my son a unisex name which could lean more towards feminine, but he'll own it.

PeasAndHarmony · 20/01/2018 21:50

To me (airline staff) it's the name of the airport in Boston USA Smile

MiMi78 · 20/01/2018 21:56

Wolverine. Sorry Grin

DisabledUserName · 20/01/2018 21:58

I know a girl with the name and it really suits her.

lauraslops · 20/01/2018 22:01

Alot of negativity. I'm not a huge fan of the name Logan but I actually think it would work as a girls name. I always say names out loud to form an opinion of them and imagine me calling a little girl Logan in a soft tone across the play area and I honestly quite liked how Logan sounded.
If you like it, go for it. Once the child is hear and named you wont ever imagine them every being called something else, it just becomes them x

Cmgentry87 · 15/08/2018 07:46

My daughters name is Logan Rose Gentry. We just use Logan. I love the name for a girl.

AtticaRose · 15/08/2018 08:13

Not my kind of name at all, but I actually think this could be nice for a girl.

Don't double barrel though - just choose a nice, feminine middle name.

LeftRightCentre · 15/08/2018 08:16

Yuck.

Lewis101145 · 15/08/2018 08:25

Not my type but think it's sweet and would equally suit a baby or adult.

CalonGlas · 15/08/2018 10:08

Was Logan-Peaches a serious suggestion?

Picknickers · 15/08/2018 22:51

LeftRightCentre my sentiments exactly I'm sorry to say.

Namelesswonder · 15/08/2018 23:02

Makes me think of Logan’s Run and Wolverine. Bit rubbish if there is a boy Logan in her school class, that’s the problem with unisex names.

Makesmilingyourbesthobby · 15/08/2018 23:26

I have a Dd called Ryleigh op, I like Logan for a girl too I'd personally not double barrel it myself but agree on a softer middle name it's a lot like Megan sounding, stars by my personal favorites

This is a zombie thread. OP posted it on 20th Jan and hasn't made a single other post on mumsnet since, so I think it's safe to say she's long gone.

qumquat · 16/08/2018 09:19

It's part of a trend for surnames as boys' then girls' names and I don't think she'll get bullied. (I teach an Aishat - even she doesn't get bullied, kids are used to all sorts of names these days). I just think the 'downgrading' of names from boys to girls is depressing. When boys start to be called Rosie I'll consider calling a girl Logan.

Markland · 06/11/2023 01:33

My daughters Name is Logan ,middle name Lottie /Logan Lottie, everyone loves her name ,it’s becoming more popular for a girls name my daughter is 23

ianshe · 06/11/2023 08:47

Come back Op!

Mouk · 06/11/2023 09:54

My American friend has a daughter named Logan Grace. It's grown on me.

CharlieBoo · 07/11/2023 06:50

Not nice for a boy and even worse for a girl! So many beautiful names, you can come up with something better that this..

user1492757084 · 07/11/2023 10:26

Logan is a suburb in Queensland where many criminal reside.
A boy or girl called Logan would not be fair.
