Sophie or Katherine
Matilda is ok too

Victoria is ok but Vicky awful and you wouldn’t be able to stop her being called that

PhuntSox · 12/01/2018 23:00

Matilda (Matty)
then Katherine (Kate)

Ikeameatballs · 12/01/2018 23:01

My order of preference is the order you have them listed in. Strong preference for the top two over the bottom two though.

CruCru · 12/01/2018 23:02

I like Katherine.

Matilda is nice but really popular - I know several and their parents were all annoyed that it ended up being so popular.

Sophie was very popular for women my age so I feel as though it is a bit dated (rather like Sarah or Jenny). Plus an old boyfriend had always said that it was his favourite girl's name so that also puts me off it - however, that is my issue, not yours.

I like the name Victoria but I hate Vicky - and she will get the shortening Vicky, even if she hates it. I feel the same way about Elizabeth / Liz.

Wayfarersonbaby · 12/01/2018 23:02

Katherine or Sophie.

AdaColeman · 12/01/2018 23:03

Victoria (Tori)
Matilda (Tilda)

slippermaiden · 12/01/2018 23:04

Sophie or Matilda. I just love the name Matilda, and I know a really lovely Sophie!

blinkineckmum · 12/01/2018 23:06

Matilda. But I don't like Tilly.

Ceebs85 · 12/01/2018 23:11

I like Catherine better than Katherine.

Its my name and I love it. There's not loads of Catherine's my age and your daughter would be the same Smile

AnyaMoondial · 12/01/2018 23:15

Katherine Matilda sounds fabulous.

SummerRoberts · 12/01/2018 23:19

Matilda

manicinsomniac · 12/01/2018 23:21

Agree that Katherine Matilda is a fabulous name.

Matilda is my favourite as a stand alone though. Followed by Katherine then Victoria then Sophie.

I actually really like all of them though. Don't think you can go wrong.

HappyLollipop · 12/01/2018 23:23

Matilda and I really like the nn Tilly.

SlowlyShrinking · 12/01/2018 23:23

Katherine or Catherine
Not Sophie
Matilda is ok but I really like the nn matty
Victoria is ok

Greensleeves · 12/01/2018 23:25

Victoria

helensburgh · 12/01/2018 23:30

Matty is a nickname fir Martha not matilda

PinkAvocado · 12/01/2018 23:33

Matilda is lovely. I dislike Tilly but like Tilda. The Matilda’s I know either go by Matilda in full or Tilda.

DramaAlpaca · 12/01/2018 23:55

My favourites are Katherine and Sophie.

I like all of them though.

thamesk8 · 13/01/2018 00:02

Like all of them. Matilda is by far the most common. Victoria the least common. Victoria is my sister. Sophie is lovely but always around top 20.
Katherine is ok. I’m Catherine. But always Kate. Like the options it gives.

All of them age well.
All classics.

My pick would probably be Victoria! Tori though. Not Vicky.

ChocolateCrunch · 13/01/2018 00:31

Sophie or Matilda

SuperBeagle · 13/01/2018 01:13

Matilda or Katherine.

Matilda Katherine (or Matilda Kate?) or Katherine Matilda.

AnyaMoondial · 13/01/2018 03:17

Ok I love Matilda Kate. That's it, perfect.

OliviaStabler · 13/01/2018 03:18

Katherine

HuskyMcClusky · 13/01/2018 03:21

Sophie.

I know it’s popular, but it’s by far my favourite.

Any variant of Catherine I find dull.

Victoria (Tori/Vicky) and Matilda (Tilly) have crap diminutives.

PandaCat · 13/01/2018 08:58

Victoria, although really dislike all nicknames for it! So I'd probably go with Matilda
