Victorias in some European countries are called 'Vika'. It's nice.

And Vivi :)

dotdotdotmustdash · 13/01/2018 20:58

Vivi is really nice too!

FreddieClaryHorshieLion · 13/01/2018 21:22

I like it as well.

I’ve never heard / seen those used for Victoria but Ria, Tia and Rory might work as well.

And maybe Vita (for Vittoria)?

buttercup54321 · 13/01/2018 22:59

Sophie and Katherine/Katie

Howsthings1234 · 13/01/2018 23:23

Sophie or Matilda

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 13/01/2018 23:26

Sophie.

Mrsknackered · 13/01/2018 23:47

I'm saying Matilda.

My sister is saying Sophie because it's such a classic.

Pemba · 14/01/2018 00:02

Sophie is gorgeous. Prefer it to the currently very fashionable Sophia. Katherine is very nice and very classic.

Matilda and Victoria are both fine, though.

MsJuniper · 14/01/2018 08:11

Vita Sackville-West was a Victoria so it's definitely a valid nn. I know a Victoria and she was only Vicky briefly at secondary school by a few people.

All those names are in my family so they all sound great to me!

I know a lovely Matilda, who is called Tildy and quite like that. I think Victoria is a bit old fashioned. Quite like Sophie and not keen on Katherine with a K but quite like it with a C. If I had another child though I think I would call her Caitlin and shorten it to Cate.
