Thoughts? What "family" of names would you say it falls into? Too much of a surname for a first name?

My cat is called Parker. —Realise that isn’t the slightest bit helpful—

I haven’t heard of many children with the name, but I don’t see it as a surname anymore.

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 22/12/2017 15:19

Strikethrough fail...Hmm

LimpidPools · 22/12/2017 15:20

Parker where?

honeyman · 22/12/2017 15:22

Pen ?

userabcname · 22/12/2017 15:24

Makes me think of Desperate Housewives - wasn't one of Lynette's sons called Parker? It falls into American style names for me - Parker, Carter, Kaden etc. I like it!

SpottyGecko · 22/12/2017 15:24

Made me think of nosey Parker....

froshiechipandbrickie · 22/12/2017 15:25

Hunter, Asher, Harrison, Jack(son), Archer, Pierce, Preston, Mason.

JellyMouldJnr · 22/12/2017 16:26

makes me think of Thunderbirds.

Pemba · 22/12/2017 16:30

Nosey Parker, yes. (Wonder where that expression comes from?)

If you do use it, I hope at least it's not for a girl.

Viviennemary · 22/12/2017 16:32

Wasn't a Thunderbirds character called Parker. Anyway it's awful for a first name.

MikeUniformMike · 22/12/2017 16:34

You could spell it Parka if you use it as a girl's name.
It's a surname.

RolfNotRudolf · 22/12/2017 16:38

Immediately makes me think of Parker the chauffeur in Thunderbirds and his drivee Lady Penelope.
Or a green coat.
But I'm old old Grin

skankingpiglet · 22/12/2017 16:42

Sorry definitely makes me think Thunderbirds. Sibling to Penelope, Brains, Scott, and Virgil?

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 22/12/2017 16:46

Yus, m'Lady?

Sorry, Thunderbirds here too.

Mrsknackered · 22/12/2017 16:47

Mike or Parkour if you're hoping they're adrenaline junkies

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 22/12/2017 16:51

MikeUniformMike · 22/12/2017 16:52

Same family as Hunter, Piper, Cooper, Carter etc

Just meh.

Potteryprincess30 · 22/12/2017 17:43

I like it Smile and I think it falls into both a masculine and feminine. Parker always makes me personally think girl though because of Parker Posey
