Le-a is possibly an urban myth.

But Maffu? That wins the thread in my eyes!

FrLukeDuke · 10/12/2017 19:23

There are probably a few Chelcies around. There's one at dd's school and there was one on Educating Manchester.

Masonbee · 10/12/2017 19:39

I once met a child called Abbeygayle...

LouiseBrooks · 10/12/2017 19:55

I went to school with somebody called Leica- ie Lisa.

Was she interested in photography?Grin

howthelightgetsin · 10/12/2017 20:08

I thought Debra was a legitimate spelling of the name?

I honestly can’t think of any children with funny spelling names that I know of. Am I just very sheltered?

GoingRogue · 10/12/2017 20:18

I know of siblings called Freya and Leya. Not unusual spellings but imagine calling them when you're out?!

HeadDreamer · 10/12/2017 20:19

DC school has an Ashdon. I actually googled to check if it’s real. No the parents made it up and presumably says the t in Ashton with a d sound.

HeadDreamer · 10/12/2017 20:20

I know a Emma-Leah and a Emmalene too.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 10/12/2017 20:27

La-a is a racist urban myth. Someone always says they know one on these threads. No you don't.

Poor wee scones! I work with a large number of people in their late teens and early 20s and there are some humdingers that dare not repeat for fear of outing.

southboundagain · 10/12/2017 20:51

I always feel sorry for people called Micheal as you know they've had to spell out their name for people every single time.

ElspethTascioni · 10/12/2017 20:55

Le-a isn’t just an urban myth. I just tried it out in the Darkgreener search engine and it showed a result - in about 2002 at least someone was named it.

ElspethTascioni · 10/12/2017 20:57

No one called La-a though, at least since 1996.

SoCockneyItHurts · 10/12/2017 21:00

I know a Cam'ron....apostrophe in the middle. I shit you not.

southboundagain · 10/12/2017 21:00

Isn't Cam'ron a rap star? (Though it's not even his real name.)
