Bizarre spellings of names

Anyone seen or heard a name which has a ridiculous spelling? I was served in a shop today by a Georja.

There are probably a few Chelcies around. There's one at dd's school and there was one on Educating Manchester.

I went to school with somebody called Leica- ie Lisa.

Was she interested in photography?

I thought Debra was a legitimate spelling of the name?

I honestly can’t think of any children with funny spelling names that I know of. Am I just very sheltered?

I know of siblings called Freya and Leya. Not unusual spellings but imagine calling them when you're out?!

DC school has an Ashdon. I actually googled to check if it’s real. No the parents made it up and presumably says the t in Ashton with a d sound.

Poor wee scones! I work with a large number of people in their late teens and early 20s and there are some humdingers that dare not repeat for fear of outing.

I always feel sorry for people called Micheal as you know they've had to spell out their name for people every single time.

Le-a isn’t just an urban myth. I just tried it out in the Darkgreener search engine and it showed a result - in about 2002 at least someone was named it.

No one called La-a though, at least since 1996.

I know a Cam'ron....apostrophe in the middle. I shit you not.
