Anyone seen or heard a name which has a ridiculous spelling? I was served in a shop today by a Georja.

Looked very wrong

I know an Aimmiiee

That is correct. 8 letters to spell the sane name that DD has in 3. The other child’s mother told her that they’d gone for a longer spelling because “it’s more classy”. Her her dc have completely unremarkable spellings of completely usual names.

@totsalot so the 'z' is a silent 'c'? Confused I can't even. What even in the fuck is that!

@BikeRunSki wins! That's just ridiculous, I can't believe she was allowed to register for a birth certificate with that spelling. Stupid womanConfused

My sister is Aimee. That's not usual really now though, is it.

LittleCandle · 10/12/2017 08:31

I used to work for Build a Bear and naively thought spelling the kids' names on the bear tickets would be easy! Bikerunski, I also came across this spelling of Amy and I was gobsmacked. I did also come across one Rbeca - Rebecca - which I think is ghastly.

GrumpySausage · 10/12/2017 08:32

Carly but spelt Carli thanks Mum

Lifetime of spelling it out.

ilovewelshrarebit123 · 10/12/2017 08:32

Tyzon as in Tyson, poor child!

cakeymccakington · 10/12/2017 08:34

I used to know someone with a son called...

Kci

Kacey/Casey. Just... why?

FluffyMcCloud · 10/12/2017 08:36

A couple of years ago I taught a Holleigh (Holly)

Scruffette · 10/12/2017 08:38

Lilleigh. Yes, that would be pronounced Lily.

XmasFairy86 · 10/12/2017 08:40

Lilie - one L in the middle. Even worse than Lillie.

Trialsmum · 10/12/2017 08:41

Leigha (took me ages to work out what that was supposed to say!)
KC-Marie

Soubriquet · 10/12/2017 08:41

I've seen Airwrecka for Erica and KVIItlyn for Caitlynn Hmm

mynameisspam · 10/12/2017 08:42

I know of a Kameron, Abigayle, liesa, katey and Lilli.

My little girl is a Georgia- spelt properly 😂

XmasFairy86 · 10/12/2017 08:44

Airwrecka???!!!! What the hell?!

cakeymccakington · 10/12/2017 08:45

Haha I saw Kviiilynn online somewhere.

I thought it was lucky they didn't spell it with a C 😂😂😂

SleepFreeZone · 10/12/2017 08:45

Omg at Airwrecka. Banned from flying for life I expect.

nancy75 · 10/12/2017 08:46

Dd went to School with Parisee, pronounced Paris

sashh · 10/12/2017 08:46

The other child’s mother told her that they’d gone for a longer spelling because “it’s more classy”.

Anything described as 'classy' never is.

Zoey - just no, it makes it into zoe-ee.

lifesaverormassmurderer · 10/12/2017 08:49

Let's not get even get started on names with a random apostrophe. Messes with my head completely!

SamineShaw · 10/12/2017 08:55

My friend who is a midwife came across someone who named their little girls Leticia but spelt it "Lettuce"...

cakeymccakington · 10/12/2017 09:04

Lettuce/Lettice is actually a name though isn't it?
