Thoughts? Also would you be inclined to shorten it as i don't really like Anna as a nickname?

Absolutely love it, and know one I've never heard shortened .
I think there should be an e in there somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

Sophronia · 15/10/2017 00:41

I love it. Prefer the Annaliese spelling though.

AnyaMoondial · 15/10/2017 01:05

Really like it.

mathanxiety · 15/10/2017 05:57

Like it a lot, but like Sophronia I prefer the Annaliese spelling.

Bobbiepin · 15/10/2017 05:58

I once knew an Annalise who went by Anna. Its a beautiful name but if you don't like Anna you may be shooting yourself in the foot.

AtlanticWaves · 15/10/2017 06:01

I knew an Annalise who was never shortened

ChocolateCrunch · 15/10/2017 06:28

Lovely name - could shorten to Anna or Leeza/Liza

Amory · 15/10/2017 06:53

I prefer Annaliese. It's a lovely pretty name.

Care - your original spelling looks like it could be pronounced Analyse to the uninitiated.

hollyisalovelyname · 15/10/2017 07:13

Lovely name

SuperBeagle · 15/10/2017 07:14

I've known a couple of Annalises (various spellings) and none of them have ever had it shortened.

I know one Annalise, one Anneliese, and one Annelies.

forestred · 15/10/2017 08:43

yes how to spell it is also something im not sure on

PeasAndHarmony · 15/10/2017 08:46

Gorgeous name, would have called my daughter this but I ended up having boys!

prefer the Annaliese spelling though.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/10/2017 08:58

Beautiful name, but prefer the spelling Annaliese.

BlackPepperCrab · 15/10/2017 09:35

I like it spelt Annaliese.

forestred · 15/10/2017 09:38

How about Anneliese?

OP posts:
forestred · 15/10/2017 09:42

or Annelise? Smile

OP posts:
Onecall · 15/10/2017 09:42

I've always loved it and it doesn't date.

hollyisalovelyname · 15/10/2017 13:15

Annalie is also lovely.
I prefer the spelling Annalise

Smoliver · 15/10/2017 13:28

I love this name - so beautiful and doesn't date. I do prefer the Anneliese/Annelise spelling, particularly if you want to avoid the nickname Anna.

I believe that Anne Frank's first name was Annelies - so maybe that's another spelling to consider.

forestred · 15/10/2017 13:43

I think im starting to prefer the spelling AnnelieseSmile

OP posts:
daisypond · 15/10/2017 13:52

How are you going to pronounce it? I'd say Anna-Leez-ah.

forestred · 15/10/2017 13:55

An-ah-lees. is that right?

OP posts:
WyfOfBathe · 15/10/2017 14:02

I like Annaliese best, or Anneliese.

forestred · 15/10/2017 14:51

does anyone like Analeigh?

OP posts:
Liadain · 15/10/2017 14:56

Love Annaliese/Anneliese/Annalise. Hate Analeigh - could be said as Anally by bullies.

If you really dislike Anna though, you should avoid it altogether as she might like Anna and choose it as a nickname/be given it by friends.
