How many young Jacks do you know?

Just that really. I know it's popular but don't know any little Jacks personally and only know one grown up Jack. Is it super popular? Any mum's with school kids give an idea as to how many in a class. Is Zack as nice..? (Would have to be Zachary)

DS is 8 and has two friends called Jack (both a bit older, 9 and 10). I think Zack is nicer, personally.

A baby and an adult. .

WannaBeDelgadaToFitInToMyPrada · 29/07/2017 15:04

Not that many tbh, although it was the number one name for years I don't know that many. Probably about four if I rack my brains.

bookbook · 29/07/2017 15:19

two - both about 6 .

SumAndSubstance · 29/07/2017 15:22

I'm a school teacher and only know a handful. I actually currently know more Zachs!

NannyR · 29/07/2017 15:29

I don't know any little Jacks, I know of several that are late primary/teenager. I don't think it's that common any more.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/07/2017 15:32

Jack is a great name. Don't know of any little ones.

Decsbetterhalf · 29/07/2017 15:33

My own

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 29/07/2017 15:35

I know loads, I think there is an average of one per class in my DC's primary school and two in neighbouring houses.

Gunpowder · 29/07/2017 15:36

6 or 7 all 2-4 years old.

Gunpowder · 29/07/2017 15:37

Oh and about three in their 30s/40s

elQuintoConyo · 29/07/2017 15:40

One. He is 8yo.

Why would Zach have to be Zachary?

MissBax · 29/07/2017 15:41

I know 2 under 5 and a 1 year old.with Jack as middle name

MikeUniformMike · 29/07/2017 15:49

Several. It's usually Jack, Harry or Oliver.

MikeUniformMike · 29/07/2017 15:50

I would go for Zac not Zack. You could have Mac(k).

MeltorPeltor · 29/07/2017 15:51

Two in DSs pre-school of 29

SleepFreeZone · 29/07/2017 15:52

I do know a lot of Jacks. It's one of the most popular names round here.

NoCapes · 29/07/2017 15:54

I know of 7 Jacks all under 8, 2 teenage Jacks and 1 grown up Jack

The only Zach(ary) I know is my own, but I hate it spelled Zack, it looks so harsh I suggest using Zach if that's what you go with

Jupitertomars · 29/07/2017 16:14

Quite a few. Two in DS class. One is BIL. Others are distant relatives, friends of friends ect.

TinselTwins · 29/07/2017 16:17

about 3 Zacharys and 5 small Jacks.
I'm not a teacher or nursery nurse and don't spend more time with strangers children than I have to Wink

Falconhoof1 · 29/07/2017 16:21

I know 3 Jacks in total below age 12. Quite a lot really as that's in my DS school which is quite small. I don't think I know any other 3 children with the same name. Apart from my DD's name which is really popular. I should have picked something else!

strawberrypenguin · 29/07/2017 16:23

One 5 year old

llangennith · 29/07/2017 16:31

Lots of Jacks and several Zach/Zak.

Batteriesallgone · 29/07/2017 16:33

One baby one toddler, seems one of those names that is a 'good' level of popularity - a few of them around, but not drowning in them, IYSWIM.
