How many young Jacks do you know?

Just that really. I know it's popular but don't know any little Jacks personally and only know one grown up Jack. Is it super popular? Any mum's with school kids give an idea as to how many in a class. Is Zack as nice..? (Would have to be Zachary)

My 5 year old has one in her class.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 01/08/2017 08:55

Didn't know any where we used to live. Not one. Moved house (SW, near Surrey) and called our DS Jack and know we know hundreds Confused also loads of Harrys and Charlies round here. Would try and go for something a bit less common next time - I'm not one for yoonique names but suspect DS will be Jack A (of Jack B, C and D) in his class!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 01/08/2017 08:55

*Now we know ffs!

MissAlligned · 01/08/2017 08:57

One 9yo and one 7yo. Different schools.

Know 3 Zacharys - all under the age of 6.

pilates · 03/08/2017 00:07

My favourite name, good for young and old.

Lesley1980 · 03/08/2017 00:13

I know 1 Jack & he is 9. I wouldn't even say it's a name I have ever heard called out when it's time to leave soft play. Always a Noah, Alfie, Isla & Emily but never Jack.

MagicMoneyTree · 09/08/2017 11:48

I know/knew 3. My grandad. Died a few years back aged 89. Another family member (not on my grandad's side) who is early 20s. And a baby a few weeks old. Jack is timeless.

MeMeMeMe123 · 09/08/2017 11:54

A few....cross generations though. I have a Jack and I love the name. Timeless and fits pretty-much anywhere.

MagicMoneyTree · 09/08/2017 11:55

Oops - didn't spot the word 'young' in the thread title!

Witsender · 09/08/2017 15:48

About 3 under 5.

TurquoiseOwl · 09/08/2017 16:56

Too many.

zeebeedee · 12/08/2017 21:45

Know quite a few aged from 16 down to about 8.
More Zacs than Jacks from 7 downwards (including one who was named Zac as it was a little less popular than Jack, and has ended up being one of 4 in his class, with no Jack at all)

Ni58 · 12/08/2017 21:51

I'm a primary teacher and usually have a Jack - had two this year. Love the name though and think it suits a variety of personalities.

greendale17 · 12/08/2017 21:53

4- one adult, three kids

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 12/08/2017 21:56

Every Jack we know is known by both his first and last name to try and distinguish between the multitude.

Ohyesiam · 12/08/2017 22:00

V popular in Somerset, I can think of 9 jacks without much problem. Only 3 Zac s though ( not sure of they all spell it like that)

ridingsixwhitehorses · 12/08/2017 22:37

My kids are 6 and 4 and 1 and I don't know any personally, and know of one aged 6 and one aged 8 as friends of friends kids.

fionadal · 19/08/2017 21:16

Only know one little Jack. Where are they all?

funshine17 · 19/08/2017 21:22

I only know two Jacks - one aged 14 and one aged about 25 and my son is Zach who is 11.

eyebrowsonfleek · 19/08/2017 22:37

My son Jack says that he'd have preferred being called Jake.

He's a teen and never been in the same class as another Jack. (He knows other Jacks though)

C0untDucku1a · 19/08/2017 22:41

Loads and loads of teen and early twenty Jacks. Youngest i i know is 7.

C0untDucku1a · 19/08/2017 22:43

I think jake is far more popular now though. Probably have more jake than jacks in my classes now.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 19/08/2017 22:43

I know loads of Jacks.

Eldest is 21
Youngest is 3

My 12yo son is friends with 4 of them through school and football team.

I know 3 Zachs including my own.

PerfectlyPooPoo · 19/08/2017 22:45

Know loads and it's actually the only name I truly find boring. When a friend called her ds Jack I was surprised as i think it's such a bland name and expected more better from her.

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/08/2017 22:48

So, so many
