I'm aware this is quite a popular name in Wales (I'm half Welsh and was born there but we live in the north of England now) but I don't know any girls called Seren in real life. I'm not sure it'll actually work with our surname, but it's the only name my DH and I have remotely agreed on yet.

Any thoughts? If you heard this would you be like "oh god not another Seren" or think it was weird?

Lovely name. I know one girl with this name. She is of Lebanese origin and absolutely gorgeous.
Very feminine name and I would not change it to Serena.

I like it, I like the Welshness and the meaning, but I think it is of the moment and will date badly.

It's lovely. Means 'star' doesn't it?

I used to work with a Seren. In her case, it actually was short for Serendipity.
She was a massive pain and therefore I am unable to be objective.

I know two.

One is the very cute 2 year old DD of an old school friend and the other is the most obnoxious 8 year old on the planet.

I still love the name though Grin.

I'm Welsh. Prefer Serena.

Thanks for all the views! Smile I still like the name, but on reflection it doesn't work well with our surname so we won't be using it.
