Hey! Already have a little boy, he's 5!

Expecting twin girls in October & toying with names we like but need oppnions as our family don't know the genders πŸ™ˆ

We really like Everly & Spencer, but we just aren't set and want something that jumps out at us. Not too matchy they aren't identical.

I defiantly wanted their names to be different I don't want them to be their own person! I thought Ivy flowed well with Ottilie but we have made our decisions. I

I love Everly. Spencer for a girl immediately makes me think PLL!

MackerelOfFact · 22/06/2017 14:47

If you want to stick to the Central Line theme, Debden and Perivale are pretty cute.

Congratulations on your twins and sorry for the loss of your DD. Flowers

That's where I got it from! I read the books after the first series, i think that's why to me it's a girls name πŸ™ˆ! My husband will kill me but now I'm having the thought of spelling πŸ˜‚ Spencer obviously can't be changed, but Everly or Everleigh or Everley πŸ™„ He's gonna ban me from
The internet soon I can tell

I know you've decided but I'm just catching up on this thread and OMG, Everly and Sailor!!! Sailor is awesome and goes so well!!!! Similar to Spencer though which is what you've decided, so thumbs up.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/06/2017 17:09

Amee, just wanted to say what a beautiful name, you gave your daughter, Romany Mairead πŸ˜€

LadyGagarden · 22/06/2017 17:16

We know an Everley and Cameron πŸ˜€

Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 17:20

Thank you! I loved mairead since I was a little girl, I had a baby doll called that πŸ’•.

Are they girl girl twins? Just curious a few have said they'd automatically assume Everly and Spencer were boys!

OP posts:
LadyGagarden · 23/06/2017 09:22

Yes, girl girl twins. With Cameron I think I now know more girls than boys with that name plus think of Cameron Diaz, but Spencer I only know boys with that name and think of Spencer Matthews so would assume Spencer was a boy twin x

Really sorry but please don't saddle a girl with the name Spencer! I just looked up the stats and as a girl name 0 were named that in 2015, people will assume you wanted a boy but got a girl instead and decided to stick with the name.

Really love Everly and Ivy together, sounds beautiful!

Amee1992x · 23/06/2017 10:47

True, Cameron is a family surname. I automatically thought they would be boy girl but thought I'd ask because people seem to think Spencer is a masculine name. We like it, if she doesn't when she's older she can always go by her middle name that's what my sister does πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

And people can assume we wanted whatever genders but people that know us know we are blessed to carry these twins after the loss of our daughter. We prayed for nothing more than healthy babies, and we already had one of each 😊

As long as their names don't sound the same you'll be fine :-) gender neutral names are great. I always loved things like stevie or silvee etc. Im a twin and there's nothing worse than names that rhyme or are too similar (identical or not, kids need their own identity ) x

Amee1992x · 23/06/2017 13:07

I definitely agree, id hate for everyone to expect them to be the same because they are twins. They can be whoever they want to be as long as they are polite, respectful little girls πŸ’•πŸ’• I don't know why but Iv just envisioned one will look like me with dark hair and dark eyes & one will look like her dad and brother blonde hair & light eyes, I always dream about it πŸ˜‚ As for matchy outfits I don't think I'm organised enough for that πŸ™„ Iv bought a few and mostly coordinates or sets with similar outfits or colours

Everly is growing on me :) It's definitely nicest spelled like that. Everleigh in particular looks really harsh with the hard 'g'.

Ivy is ok, but not much to it. Quite hard too. How about Iris instead?

Iris and Everly.

My other suggestion would be Sydney instead of Spencer. Spencder is AWFUL for a girl, sorry. But Sydney is lovely, has the same time-feel to it, and has a genuine female spelling?

Sydney and Everly.

Amee1992x · 24/06/2017 22:38

I think we are decided, let our family know at a BBQ today although my little boy thinks one should be called Emily he's happy to have sisters! Family members were touched by their middle names & my mum expressed how much she liked marigold and magnolia πŸ™„, no no no!

OP posts:
Muumi3 · 25/06/2017 11:48

Identical twins called Marigold and Magnolia?

Amee1992x · 25/06/2017 11:55

As far as I was aware I thought they were non identical as it's what I'd been told but ladies on here have expressed how that's not always the case. Someone posted a link that was really useful
