Hey! Already have a little boy, he's 5!

Expecting twin girls in October & toying with names we like but need oppnions as our family don't know the genders πŸ™ˆ

We really like Everly & Spencer, but we just aren't set and want something that jumps out at us. Not too matchy they aren't identical.

What's your son's name?

GeillisTheWitch · 21/06/2017 13:14

Spencer is a boy's name to me, doesn't suit a girl.

Alittlepotofrosie · 21/06/2017 13:16

Girls or boys or one of each? I prefer Evelyn toEverly. Don't like spencer for a girl at all.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:16

Layton.

Sorry you said girls. Spencer is a really ugly name for a girl. There's thousands of girls names out there or even some boys names that translate well to girls. Spencer isn't one of them.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:17

Fraternal twin girls, did say expecting twin girls lol

Those are boys names or surnames but I see you chose a surname for your son too.
Can you get a book of baby names or look online?

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:18

Just looking for opinions these are the only names that have jumped out at us but we just aren't sure & thought this would be great for suggestions 😊

Charlotte and Elizabeth
Sophia and Matilda

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 21/06/2017 13:23

Both sound like boys' names to me - sorry. Especially Spencer.

If you already have a Layton, you might like;

Taylor
Harper
Parker

Or something less surname ish but still modern like;

Lola
Roxy (Roxanne)
Maddison (Maddy)
Lexi (Alexa or Alexandra)

AndNowItIsSeven · 21/06/2017 13:24

Layton is an unusual choice , is from your culture?

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:25

Oh I love Parker, we have a pretty boring surname maybe that's why we like different names.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:27

Layton was my grandads surname, was just a sentimental thing.

It's nice to pick unusual names but you don't have to live with it

inspiredbutohsotired · 21/06/2017 13:27

I think your name choices are lovely! I really like Spencer for a girl too, it's uncommon and interesting.

April241 · 21/06/2017 13:28

I like Spencer, haven't heard Everly before though. Spencer and Harper? They go nice together. Maybe have a few names you can pick from on the day. I have b/g twins but didn't know what we were having so we had 3 boys and 3 girls names to choose from incase we had 2 boys/2 girls and a spare name incase any didn't suit. Took us the entire pregnancy to decide!

Joinourclub · 21/06/2017 13:28

I'm not massively keen on Everly. And don't like Spencer st all. What about:

Eden and Piper
Bailey and Harper
Riley and Brooke
McKenzie and Addison

Muumi3 · 21/06/2017 13:31

I think Everly is nice, but agree that Spencer maybe is the right fit
Here are some names that come from surnames, most of them with a masculine leaning

Brooke/Brookes
Delaney
Ellison
Sawyer
Kennedy
Avery
Bellamy
Sinclair

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:31

Liked spencer for a little while now, everly I came across a mum vlogger on YouTube and one of her twins are everly, she even liked the name ever I think it just stands out. Have nieces called Eden & Addison πŸ’•

Surnames as first names are generally seen as a bit chavvy although there are some exceptions so I wouldn't go for three children who all have surnames as first names.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:34

I wouldn't have considered everly a surname as I haven't heard of it before πŸ˜‚ Don't know anyone with the surname spencer either πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Muumi3 · 21/06/2017 13:36

My first thought was Diana Spencer.

April241 · 21/06/2017 13:39

Muumi3 has some lovely suggestions!

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:43

She does I really like sawyer πŸ’•!

Their middle names will be Ottilie and Genevieve after my godmother and my husbands great grandmother.

BewareOfTheToddler · 21/06/2017 13:44

I think Avery is nicer than Everly, personally.

How about Avery and Romilly? Both can be surnames, both are pretty.

Harper is very cool!

I know a little Mackenzie and it really suits her. Madison is also a surname-type name which is obviously for a girl.
