Which suits her better? 2 names!

We had a girl (we didn't know the sex!) and have 2 names. Madison and Scarlet. We know that Maddison and Scarlett are more popular, but I do prefer the original spelling of Madison and the colour spelling of Scarlet.

Which suits her better? Surname is double-barrelled.

Thanks!

If your surname is double barrelled I'd go with Scarlet as I think you want to reduce the number of syllables in the first name iyswim or her full name could literally be a mouthful!

She's beautiful Grin congratulations Flowers

Decaffstilltastesweird · 16/06/2017 17:27

She's gorgeous op! Congratulations! Flowers

I think she's a Scarlet. I also agree with pp's point re syllables and I just prefer the name Scarlet too!

RickOShay · 16/06/2017 17:31

She's gorgeous, and I think she's a Scarlet. I like this spelling best too.

What's her middle name going to be?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 16/06/2017 17:46

She has a fiesty and spirited look in her eye. Madisons are always determined and spirited.
She's definitely a Madison.
What a beauty.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 16/06/2017 17:46

Beautiful baby! Congratulations.

She looks like a Scarlet to me.

GinIsIn · 16/06/2017 17:47

Scarlet

BendydickCuminsnatch · 16/06/2017 17:48

Oh she is particularly beautiful! Lovely!

I'd say she looks more like a Scarlet.

Congratulations!

Passmethecrisps · 16/06/2017 17:49

Oh she is beautiful.

I prefer the name Madison but she is so lovely I am sure she could carry off either name

mummytobemaybe · 16/06/2017 17:51

Scarlet suits her better

Loyly · 16/06/2017 17:52

Scarlet. She is wonderful!

picketfences · 16/06/2017 17:55

I prefer the name scarlet but looking at her lovely little face I honestly think she is a Madison!

Jooni · 16/06/2017 18:03

She looks more like a little Madison to me I think, but she honestly suits both Smile Many congratulations OP!

One other thing to bear in mind though is that if the surname is double-barrelled you run the risk of it sounding like three surnames if you go with Madison, like a big financial corporation or something. Obviously it will depend on what the surnames are though.

She's truly beautiful Flowers

MollyHuaCha · 16/06/2017 18:21

Congratulations!
Scarlet for me please.

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 16/06/2017 19:20

OP,

Now that is one exceptionally lovely-looking baby.

Either name would suit her.

Congratulations! Flowers

Definitely Scarlet !

harderandharder2breathe · 16/06/2017 19:37

Oh and if you do go with Madison I think your spelling is nicer

MalcomTuckerInSpace · 16/06/2017 19:42

She looks like a Scarlet to me.

Kittykatclaws · 16/06/2017 19:43

She's a stunner! Definitely a Scarlet! Flowers

TipTop333 · 16/06/2017 19:44

How weird is this - I looked at the picture before reading what you had written and the name possibilities and my immediate thought was 'Maddie', so was Shock to see Madison there! So that would definitely be my call...

BikeRunSki · 16/06/2017 19:45

Scarlet

If you call her Madison, her entire name will be essentially 3 surnames.

msgrinch · 16/06/2017 19:47

Scarlet. She's beautiful. Congratulations! How are you doing/feeling? Well done :)
