I like strong punchy girls' names.

So:

Rosa
Nina
Nancy
Aphra
Frieda
Margaret

Nancy

AntiopeofThemyscira · 08/06/2017 23:36

One of the nastiest people I have ever known is called Nina. I didn't not really like any of those names but if I had to choose it would be Aphra.

BewareOfTheToddler · 09/06/2017 21:47

Nina, followed by Rosa.

I prefer Margot to Margaret - how about Nina Margot?

autumngold6 · 09/06/2017 22:03

Rosa or Nina

Nancy

When I was growing up, Nancy was considered a slightly offensive term.. " he's a bit of a nancy', meaning effeminate. Sorry.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 10/06/2017 15:45

Isn't Aphra a pokémon?

Nina is a great name!

Rosa or Nina.

Margaret - I love Maggie, Meg and Peggy

daisypond · 10/06/2017 17:01

I think some of the names are not particularly strong or punchy. Nina, Rosa, Nancy particularly are all quite girlie - but still nice. If you're going for those names because they've got an association with a famous person, that does put a different slant on it, though. I'd say Margaret is the strongest name. It doesn't end in an A or E sound, for one.

MissBax · 10/06/2017 17:03

I really don't like Nina. I love Rosa but think it's quite popular now. I would go for Nancy myself

Coey2016 · 11/06/2017 19:30

Love Nina and Nancy

I think we are down to Nina or Aphra now.

Oh Aphra is a million times more interesting and beautiful than Nina.

MmmChocolatePancakes · 12/06/2017 22:47

I'm a Nina too, and like blah my primary years were plagued with children making siren sounds at me in the playground. However, I love my name now. A lot of people think it must be short for something though I'm not sure what... Antonina perhaps? I do not like when people shorten it to Neen (doesn't happen much).
Having said that, I love Aphra and Margaret from your list.
