❤️ Rosanna Kate.

QuietNinjaTardis · 28/05/2017 18:25

I'm a bit Shock at 29Palms calling the op selfish for not calling the baby what 29Palms wants! That's utterly bizarre. It's not your baby!
Katie Rose is lovely but if you prefer the name Rosie then go the other way. I think you should go with the first name you prefer the most as that's the name you'll be saying the most.

bigredboat · 28/05/2017 18:26

I have a Rosie so I would vote for that but Katie is lovely too. I don't get the mumsnet insistence on having a long name that you don't use - everyone I know who has a name that easily shortens is known by the diminutive (Jennifer - Jenny, Deborah - Debbie, Katherine - Katie etc). It's perfectly valid to have a short version of a name as the given name.

RueDeDay · 28/05/2017 18:32

Katie is already lovely name and perfectly acceptable without a longer version on the birth certificate!

Another vote for Katie Rose Flowers

Bibs2014 · 28/05/2017 19:30

I like Rosanna Kate too 😃

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/05/2017 21:08

OP, your baby girl is absolutely beautiful, a little peach.

SuperBeagle · 28/05/2017 21:38

Rosie Kate.

I'm not a fan of Katie, but love Kate. Hmm

SuperBeagle · 28/05/2017 21:39

Also, wtf 29. Katie is a well-known standalone name. I had two in my grade in the early 2000s. One Katie and one Katy. Not short for anything.

Rockaby · 29/05/2017 08:31

I also like Rosanna Kate

nameohnameohname · 29/05/2017 12:40

I'm nearly fifty and I'm a Katie. Christened Katie, not a Catherine. I have a very professional job - it's never held me back!

lynmilne65 · 29/05/2017 12:42

The Katie Roses deffo winning !!

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 29/05/2017 15:08

She's absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations.

I like the flow of Katie Rose but I think she looks more like a Rosie.

How about Rosa Kate?

She is edible! So lovely. Both names are lovely.

Wenchelda · 29/05/2017 20:49

What a gorgeous baby girl! Before I'd read the full thread I was also going to suggest Rosa Kate - Rosanna Kate is equally beautiful and I much prefer either of these to Katie Rose.

Choccyhobnob · 30/05/2017 12:36

Oh my goodness she's beautiful, I'm not a fan of the first name Katie but agree Katie Rose flows better than Rosie Kate. But then you threw Roseanna into the mix and I LOVE IT! Roseanna nn Rosie suits her perfectly.

ColdParty · 30/05/2017 13:13

I know a few Katie Roses , all

MyBootsAreMuddy · 30/05/2017 23:26

She's beautiful, i was going to say Katie Rose as think if flows better than Rosie Kate. But now you've suggested Rosanna Kate, I will change my mind to that. Also like the suggestion of Rosa Kate.
