She's beautiful, i was going to say Katie Rose as think if flows better than Rosie Kate. But now you've suggested Rosanna Kate, I will change my mind to that. Also like the suggestion of Rosa Kate.

I know a few Katie Roses , all

Oh my goodness she's beautiful, I'm not a fan of the first name Katie but agree Katie Rose flows better than Rosie Kate. But then you threw Roseanna into the mix and I LOVE IT! Roseanna nn Rosie suits her perfectly.

What a gorgeous baby girl! Before I'd read the full thread I was also going to suggest Rosa Kate - Rosanna Kate is equally beautiful and I much prefer either of these to Katie Rose.

She's absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations.

I like the flow of Katie Rose but I think she looks more like a Rosie.

How about Rosa Kate?

I'm nearly fifty and I'm a Katie. Christened Katie, not a Catherine. I have a very professional job - it's never held me back!

I also like Rosanna Kate

Report
SuperBeagle · 28/05/2017 21:39

Also, wtf 29. Katie is a well-known standalone name. I had two in my grade in the early 2000s. One Katie and one Katy. Not short for anything.

SuperBeagle · 28/05/2017 21:38

Rosie Kate.

I'm not a fan of Katie, but love Kate. Hmm

Katie is already lovely name and perfectly acceptable without a longer version on the birth certificate!

Another vote for Katie Rose Flowers

Report
bigredboat · 28/05/2017 18:26

I have a Rosie so I would vote for that but Katie is lovely too. I don't get the mumsnet insistence on having a long name that you don't use - everyone I know who has a name that easily shortens is known by the diminutive (Jennifer - Jenny, Deborah - Debbie, Katherine - Katie etc). It's perfectly valid to have a short version of a name as the given name.

I'm a bit Shock at 29Palms calling the op selfish for not calling the baby what 29Palms wants! That's utterly bizarre. It's not your baby!
Katie Rose is lovely but if you prefer the name Rosie then go the other way. I think you should go with the first name you prefer the most as that's the name you'll be saying the most.

❤️ Rosanna Kate.

Report
LittleGreenPear · 28/05/2017 18:21

Lol @ 29

Love Rosanna. The middle name is neither here nor there as you won't use it on a regular 'saying her name' basis

I think I'd go for Rosanna and call her Rosie or Rose
