Recently I have come across this name and was wondering if people generally like or dislike it? I think it used to be a bit more common but not too sure...

Beautiful.

I like Winter too.

MaidenMotherCrone · 12/05/2017 11:31

I like it. I don't know anyone called Summer but I do know a few Hafs which is Welsh for Summer.

Oysterbabe · 12/05/2017 13:18

I like it.

Rockaby · 12/05/2017 14:31

I like it, but the one I know gets called Sum, which I'm not mad about. I think I found I was called Summer I would insist on the full name!

Mrsknackered · 12/05/2017 14:39

Not really my cup of tea. Knew a baby recently called Summer, born 2 days before Christmas, I thought that was odd

user1494593235 · 12/05/2017 14:50

www.namewizard.net/f/summer

Rainsbow · 12/05/2017 14:54

Hate it

DecisionsDecisions33 · 12/05/2017 14:55

Sorry dislike
Is a bit of a low brow name around here along with Harley Jayden brook etc

BearGryllsHasaBigRope · 12/05/2017 14:55

I like it

CricketRuntAndRashers · 12/05/2017 15:01

Not my cup of tea. But it is nice.

idontknow6 · 12/05/2017 15:44

I was wondering if it is trendy? i hope it's notSmile

OP posts:
zeeboo · 12/05/2017 15:45

Very popular around here with the 'potential Jeremy Kyle guest' fraternity. Not a name I'd choose.

CricketRuntAndRashers · 12/05/2017 15:46

names.darkgreener.com/#summer

On a rather steady decline.

twilightcafe · 12/05/2017 15:55

Not keen.

Summer is a bit lowbrow where I live. Sorry.

NightWanderer · 12/05/2017 15:57

I like it but i loved The OC. I used to work with a woman called Autumn.

happytimewife · 12/05/2017 16:00

My daughter is 6 months and we have called her Autumn we live in Oxfordshire and it's not very common.

I personally like Summer

ofudginghell · 12/05/2017 16:01

I like it Wink
But then being a Jeremy Kyle low brow type of person I guess I would eh. WinkHmm
It's more popular than it was when I named my child.
And no I'm not a jk type or whatever low brow some of you posters profess that we are.

I'm guessing Katie Hopkins is hiding in the thread somewhere Grin

I know a fair few of the slightly older generation now called April,Autumn,,May,June ........
They can't all be jk types surely Hmm

KarineAimee · 12/05/2017 16:20

Lovely

Mrsknackered · 12/05/2017 18:02

Do some people think being a snob is an attractive trait?
Low brow? Jeremy Kyle? Get a grip.
And I don't even like the name

littlepooch · 12/05/2017 18:04

I don't like it at all. I know one and she gets called sumsums all the time and it makes me teeth itch.

That said - if you like it then fair enough.

Emma1609 · 12/05/2017 18:08

Really like it - pretty and cool.

Floggingmolly · 12/05/2017 18:13

Is your baby due in the summer? I don't actually like this thing of naming kids after the season or month they were born in.
There was a thread a while ago where the op wanted to call her dd Bambina under the illusion that it was Italian for baby girl... Confused
It reminds me of the Native American tribal thing of naming the child after the first thing you see after it's birth.

Dontrocktheboat · 12/05/2017 18:30

I'm not keen on it, it seems quite trendy and there are prettier sounding names. But might be as I am not really into summer as a season (I do quite like Autumn!)

SmokeCloak · 12/05/2017 18:32

Low brow? Get over yourselves.

pinkhorse · 12/05/2017 18:37

I know loads of summers and for that reason don't like the name. It's very lowbrow here too
