I like April best

calzone · 27/04/2017 23:12

Scarlet

ohlittlepea · 27/04/2017 23:12

Congratulations
April is lovely and rare :)

Amber?

Not autumn because she wasn't born in autumn.

user1493330753 · 27/04/2017 23:13

She wasn't born in April either Blush does it matter?

I've never been keen on Amber (same as Ruby) but thank you :)

I love Violet.

KatherinaMinola · 27/04/2017 23:15

Violet is lovely for a March baby Smile

teaandakitkat · 27/04/2017 23:16

I like Autumn but can you use it if your baby wasn't born I Autumn? I'm not sure.
And I wonder if it's a bit naff to be born in April and called April.
So all in all, I find time-specific names tricky.
I go for Violet

Imjustsaying · 27/04/2017 23:17

Scarlet is lovely

teaandakitkat · 27/04/2017 23:17

Cross post, I see she wasn't born in April. Not sure how that affects my reasoning....

PlymouthMaid1 · 27/04/2017 23:18

Scarlet or Violet

BackforGood · 27/04/2017 23:20

Don't think you can go for April if not born in April, nor Autumn if not born in Autumn, tbh.

LexieLulu · 27/04/2017 23:22

I love April but I think she'll always be asked if she's born in April. Same for autumn. Violet is the nicest as scarlet seems a little overused where I live xx

user1493330753 · 27/04/2017 23:23

But then isn't it a bit predictable to give them those names if born in that season/month?

Thanks for the replies!

Violet is beautiful and suits a March baby perfectly.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/04/2017 23:26

5 weeks old then she wasn't born in April, so that'd sound daft, sorry. Although April is by far the prettiest
Like wise with Autumn. You can't have a spring baby called Autumn.
Scarlet is awful.
Violet is the most fitting.

user1493330753 · 27/04/2017 23:27

My only issue with Violet is the pronunciation... I saw from the how to pronounce it thread that it's split about 50/50, some think 2 syllables and some think 3!

OP posts:
Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/04/2017 23:32

I'd say Vi-Let 2 syllables. Violet seems a bit forced for me to say.

user1493330753 · 27/04/2017 23:33

Yeah, I would too :)

YouFlippinWhat · 27/04/2017 23:34

Autumn

LexieLulu · 27/04/2017 23:34

Depends where you live to how to say it. I say it 3 syllables but the "o" is a very quiet part of the name (not sure if I'm making sense)

owenjonesismyhero · 27/04/2017 23:34

Violet, a beautiful name . When you look at her, what name comes to mind?

user1493330753 · 27/04/2017 23:35

Honestly owen I don't know :(

Moresaltedcaramel · 27/04/2017 23:41

I know 2 June's, both born in March. Work back 9 months... So you could go for June!
I don't like 3 of your names, which only leaves Violet and that always seems a bit old lady (violet Carson) to me. Scarlet just makes me think of goggle box.

Singingforsanity · 27/04/2017 23:51

I disagree with not being able to name her April/Autumn if she wasn't born then, if you prefer those names use them! I prefer April or Violet. I pronounce Violet with 3 syllables, although the 2nd syllable is only just there so it isn't forced. Do any of them work better with you surname/any middle name?

OrlandoTheCat · 27/04/2017 23:53

I really don't think you need to be born in April/Autumn to be called April/Autumn...
