I'd go for April

OrlandoTheCat · 27/04/2017 23:54

you ask for other suggestions:

Iris?

WowserBowser · 27/04/2017 23:55

Violet

radicalrage · 28/04/2017 00:09

Autumn is lovely- I think of autumn colours and someone bold and fearless.

GreatFuckability · 28/04/2017 00:16

I think you absolutely can call her April or autumn!

I say violet as VI-uh-let, but that uh is a really quick schwa sound. so not very obvious.

Buntysoven · 28/04/2017 00:18

I love April and think you can use it whenever you like. So elegant and pretty. Suits all ages

gracefull · 28/04/2017 00:47

Of course you can call her Autumn or April if she wasn't born in either of those time periods. When does anyone even ask when you were born anyway? I know several Aprils/Mays/Junes and Autumns as an adult and I have never thought 'Oh were you born in the month you are named after because your name is stupid if not'. It doesn't matter a jot and I like April or Scarlet best.

SuperBeagle · 28/04/2017 01:40

I like Violet and Scarlett equally. I don't like the spelling Scarlet though, so if that's the only option, I would choose Violet.

SuperBeagle · 28/04/2017 01:43

The people who are suggesting you can't name her April or Autumn because she wasn't born then are truly daft. June used to be an insanely popular name and I can guarantee not all Junes were born in June.

I also have a good friend named April whose birthday is in December (and no one asks her about whether she was born in April Hmm), and another friend named May whose birthday is in July.

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/04/2017 01:50

I'm amazed she's still nameless after five weeks! I like Violet best from your list. Also like the suggestion of Iris.

Lemondrop09 · 28/04/2017 14:22

I like April best

I don't like babies born in April being called April, it sounds unimaginative. I prefer it when they are born in a different month.

I also feel that April/May/June and Summer/Autumn have become named in their own right.

I think Violet is becoming very "in" and trendy and will be climbing the charts this year.

Mrsknackered · 28/04/2017 14:57

Violet

mrsglowglow · 28/04/2017 14:59

Avril is a pretty alternative to April.

MackerelOfFact · 28/04/2017 15:05

I like April.

I also like Hazel, Clover, Amber and Willow which seem to have the same kind of feel as the names in your list.

MackerelOfFact · 28/04/2017 15:06

Also June or Joy? (Same issue with June as with April I guess, but I don't think it matters).

mum2be2boys · 28/04/2017 15:22

My favourites are Scarlet and April.

I like Violet too, but only like the vi-o-let pronunciation for some reason.

CryingShame · 28/04/2017 15:24

I'd got for Violet, or Pearl.

I'm a 3 syllable pronouncer of Violet but don't find it awkward to say.

Rockaby · 28/04/2017 15:39

Violet Smile!

pilates · 28/04/2017 16:06

Violet

Pearl is also very nice, Primrose?

AmysTiara · 28/04/2017 16:09

I think it's a bit odd to say you can't call a child April if she's not born in April. Of course you can.

I like all your names but Scarlet is my least favourite. The others are all lovely.

FluffyBathTowel · 28/04/2017 16:11
  1. April
  2. Violet
  1. Autumn
  1. Scarlet.
Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/04/2017 17:38

Love April, otherwise Scarlett.

MrsGB2225 · 28/04/2017 17:39

Violet.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 28/04/2017 17:41

Violet
Scarlet
Autumn
April

In that order. Congratulations Grin.
