Is it ok as a middle name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ScarlettFreestone · 22/04/2017 23:44

No.

(Sorry)

wooster16 · 22/04/2017 23:44

Middle name definitely!

twoforthepriceofone22 · 22/04/2017 23:47

As a middle name, with Teddy as a first name? Sure why not? Grin
I'm not sure your dc would thank you in years to come.

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2017 23:48

Jamie & Jools Oliver think so.

I don't.

Sorry.

Frustratedboarder · 22/04/2017 23:53

Only if you're confident enough in your (confident) name choice to not give a fuck what a bunch of internet strangers think.... Which you're clearly not! Grin It's the kind of name which really needs aplomb, iyswim!

MitzyLeFrouf · 22/04/2017 23:54

As a middle name yes.

Frustratedboarder · 22/04/2017 23:54

(btw DS's middle name is a variant of it and he gets called Bear so i definitely think it's fine!)

GimbleInTheWabe · 22/04/2017 23:55

Bear is adorable for a little boy. Ridiculous on a grown man. I think it's the kind of thing he'll cringe about later when asked 'what's your middle name?' Sorry OP.

StrawberryJelly00 · 22/04/2017 23:56

This will be his knickname in the future for sure

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 22/04/2017 23:56

I think it's fine. :)

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 23/04/2017 00:26

I think it would depend on what his other names are

StillHungryy · 23/04/2017 00:27

Nooo

StillHungryy · 23/04/2017 00:27

Unless his first name is teddy or Theodore

5BlueHydrangea · 23/04/2017 00:31

Middle name maybe, very daft as a first name. Most people don't use middle names for much so in a way could be anything!

OlennasWimple · 23/04/2017 00:32

Second middle name, so he can drop it if he wants

But....why? With all the lovely lovely names out there, why choose Bear?

HenryandJude · 23/04/2017 01:03

We were planning on Theodore Bear Grin

OP posts:
HeyCat · 23/04/2017 01:06

No.

It will. W hugely embarrassing for him when he's older.

Just use it as a nickname.

Empireoftheclouds · 23/04/2017 01:08

Don't be fucking stupid

HenryandJude · 23/04/2017 01:09

Wow Hmm bit extreme.

OP posts:
Empireoftheclouds · 23/04/2017 01:11

Almost as extreme as teddy bear Hmm

MitzyLeFrouf · 23/04/2017 01:12

Theodore Bear is a V BAD idea. Unless you see his future career as a model for Forever Friends greeting cards.

StillHungryy · 23/04/2017 01:15

I'd personally love to see a Theodore bear, not for any children I have though!

HenryandJude · 23/04/2017 01:15

No, he would be Theo/Theodore Hmm if it's not Bear it's going to be Wolf, so...

It really wasn't to do with Teddy Bear.

OP posts:
MitzyLeFrouf · 23/04/2017 01:19

It probably seems like a great idea to you and your partner thinking of a gorgeous chubby baby being called Theodore Bear but it will be a (cutsie) millstone around his neck when he's a big hairy man. Anyone who ever learns his full name will be 'oh so you're called Teddy Bear? Ha ha'.

Sophronia · 23/04/2017 01:20

It's too close to Teddy Bear. It would be embarrassing for a grown man.
