I like it! It gets lumped in with Kayden, Brayden etc, but Aidan is actually a real name.

I have one so I love it 😁 Be aware you will be forever correcting people who spell it as Aiden though 😡 I've even had Aydn and Aden Hmm

Oh hang on. Is it seen as one of 'those names' in England? I'm in N Ireland where it's a perfectly standard name.

To be fair the nursery changed it when I explained it's Aidan like the saint not Aiden. My family finally got the point when I went batshit about them misspelling it, and DPs family are Irish so they knew how to spell it Grin

I don't link it at all with Kayden, etc. It's an old traditional Irish/Scottish name. That said, I'm not particularly keen on it.

Ah, we are not Irish. I just love it! It's the whole spelling thing that puts me off Sad

It's more popular than you might think. DS is 10 and there are three kids called Aidan in his year (out of a total of 50 boys).

I like it. I've never seen it as another name, unlike my daughter who frequently gets called a longer name as though that's proper' way. Although my Dd's name is a name in it's own right!

Every Aidan I've taught has been utterly lovely so I think it's a great name.

It's a fine name. A proper name.

Don't go for Kaiden, Jayden, Hayden or any such nonsense. Just a nice proper name.

Aidan or Aiden will do just fine.
