Anything like Lettice? (But less saladi-ish)?

SpunkyMummy · 09/11/2016 09:07

I don't like Letitia/Laetitia etc.

DH loves Lettice. He also suggested Annora/Honora.

I really like Angelica but DH hates it.

Maybe Samantha? Antonia? Maybe Philippa? Eugenie? I like them, but I just don't love them...

DD is 4/12...
I'd honestly appreciate every suggestion.

Is the name for your 4 1/2 year old??

Cherryskypie · 09/11/2016 09:12

Cicely?

Mozfan1 · 09/11/2016 09:13

How about sundried tomato

SpunkyMummy · 09/11/2016 09:13

Oh no. That's the Due Date.... sorry 😐

And I meant to write salad-ish. Not saladi-ish... 😳

Well, I stayed up until past 3 am... so, I guess that's my excuse.

Cressida. You call call her Cress if you dont like Lettice.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/11/2016 09:15

4 months, I thought Molly.

Well I was going to suggest Laetitia but won't now.

How about Annis?
Or you could go retro with Gladys?

purplepaisley · 09/11/2016 09:15

Hester?

Joinourclub · 09/11/2016 09:17

Cecelia
Sylvia
Lorelie

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/11/2016 09:17

Dilys?
Cerys?

haha to Cressida, although it's a lovely name and Cressie is a nice diminuitive, I think.

purplepaisley · 09/11/2016 09:18

Or Cecily / Cecilia

MadameSilva · 09/11/2016 09:18

Was also going to suggest Laetitia (!)

Antonia and Philippa are beautiful.

Hermione
Anais
Ines
Leonora
Flora
Amaryllis
Dahlia

SpunkyMummy · 09/11/2016 09:23

Some of these suggestions are great. Thank you 😊

I do like Dahlia and Cressida. Cerys is lovely, but it reminds me of cerise...

Serena? Marianne?
Or I know a Clarissa (bear with me) known as Cassie, which suits her a lot; you could use Clarice in the same way.

Lancelottie · 09/11/2016 09:45

Or would he go for Sorrell (as in Noel Streatfeild)?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 09/11/2016 09:46

Lois
Clementine
Greer
Marion

PenelopeFlintstone · 09/11/2016 09:49

Beatrice?
Celeste?

Lancelottie · 09/11/2016 09:53

Yes, Beatrice is a good call, surely?

HolesInTheFloor · 09/11/2016 09:53

I love Lettice but not brave enough (also don't have dailughters).

Other favourites of mine are Clover and Ursula.

HolesInTheFloor · 09/11/2016 09:53

Oh, and Wren.

SpunkyMummy · 09/11/2016 09:55

I don't like Sorrell. But Serena is... really lovely. It sound 'fresh', is really pretty, not too popular but still a name most people have heard of. 😊

I also like Clarissa, it's really cute. But DH doesn't like it...

Marianne is too much like Marielle, imo. (Name already taken in my family...)

Lancelottie · 09/11/2016 09:55

Or how about Felicity (means something v similar to Lettice)

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 09/11/2016 09:55

Romily?

QueenLizIII · 09/11/2016 09:58

Araminta. NN Mint or Minty. Another garnish.

MustBeThursday · 09/11/2016 10:00

How about Violet? You could call her Lettie for short, that's nearly Lettice...

QueenLizIII · 09/11/2016 10:02

I know two baby Violet's already in my small circle and the OP said she didnt want popular I think.

Violent sounds the same as Violence and Violent and I dont get the fascination.
