Anything like Lettice? (But less saladi-ish)?

I don't like Letitia/Laetitia etc.

DH loves Lettice. He also suggested Annora/Honora.

I really like Angelica but DH hates it.

Maybe Samantha? Antonia? Maybe Philippa? Eugenie? I like them, but I just don't love them...

DD is 4/12...
I'd honestly appreciate every suggestion.

Beatrix is family member. Family feud... It's an absolutely lovely name. it was actually one of DH's first pick. But I had to tell him that Beatrix/ce wouldn't be an option. I think it kind of crushed him, because he loves that name. But the Beatrix in my family.... :(

Araminta sounds like... Aromat imo. Sorry.

I don't like Violet. It really does sound very violent imo... and even if it didn't, I personally don't think it sounds like a nice name.

Felicity is also very nice, thanks :)

Is Romily a name? Sorry. Is it a nn of Romilda?

I'm unreasonably pleased that you like some of my suggestions (DH never did, being an Emma/Sarah/Claire sort of a chap)!

QueenLizIII · 09/11/2016 10:13

Ok what do you like? Confused

I really like Angelica but DH hates it.

Maybe Samantha? Antonia? Maybe Philippa? Eugenie? I like them, but I just don't love them...

Very very different names in there. Family feuds disallow Beatrice et al.

Not being much help are we.

SpunkyMummy · 09/11/2016 10:19

😂
I know the feeling.

DH really isn't an Emma/Sarah/Claire chap. And yet we still can't agree on girl's names (we do agree in boy's names, actually).

But I really love the name Serena. It's so, so lovely. I really hope DH likes it.

I love Lettice and would have used it for DC1 if he'd been a girl (and dh had agreed, which he wouldn't Grin)

What about Linnet? Pronounced 'linnit' rather than 'lyn-ette'

SpunkyMummy · 09/11/2016 10:23

I know, my 'family feud' reasoning may sound silly.

But 'our' Beatrix is seriously terrible.

Gave my GM awful advice concerning her financial situation, manipulated and mistreated my DSis, broke her DH's rib (ok, he had an affair. But we do not break ribs!!!!), ignored me when I told her that my cousin purposely let herself fall on the back when doing a handstand and pinched herself. She also hurt my mother.

Oh god. Not a nice connection.

Serena is lovely.

Surely Lettuce?

Or is that the "saladish" alternative?
