How many Judes under-5 do you know?

And where do you live? I only ask as I don't know any, but just saw a comment on another thread along the lines of "not another baby Jude - I know at least 5 now...".

I'm just interested really - it's on our list and while popularity isn't the key criteria I would prefer it if DS (if it is a DS) is not going to be one of 5 in his class.

Oh, and I did have the boy's name in mind, but if you know any female Judes then mention those too :)

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 14/10/2016 09:10

The only two I know are in their 50s and it's short for Judith.

Flossierules · 14/10/2016 09:27
  1. We live in East London. I love the name but this was one thing that put me off, I was worried it might be a bit 2015 when he's older.
Flossierules · 14/10/2016 09:27

All boys.

mouldycheesefan · 14/10/2016 09:29

1 girl, 1 boy.
I am not a fan of unisex names personally.

wigglesrock · 14/10/2016 11:11

I know about 5 between the ages of 7 and 11. I don't know any under 5. My eldest has just started secondary school and there are 3 in her form class but they are 11/12. All boys.

I think it's a lovely name. I don't like it as much for a girl.

Chinlo · 14/10/2016 11:11

Even the number one name Oliver is only given to one in 50 boys born each year. So that's still less than one per class.

In 2015 (Jude's most popular year in the last 20 years), Jude was given to 1 in every 333 baby boys. So to have five in one class would be a HUGE statistical anomaly.

ShowOfHands · 14/10/2016 11:17

I know 4 between 5 and 10 years. One under 5. Two are girls. Two of the boys have brothers called Reuben if you want other trends. I'm in Norfolk.

Haudyerwheesht · 14/10/2016 11:19

I only know one who is 5. Know one who is about 11 too. Both boys. In Scotland

FunkyChunk · 14/10/2016 11:19

One, a boy in London

BonusNewt · 14/10/2016 11:20

I live in Essex and know none. Then again my boys are 6 and 9 so I'm not at the preschool singing sessions and art clubs and toddler drop ins anymore. The ubiquitous "hello" song used to give an idea about name popularity - "Hello Hamish, hello Hamish, hello Lily-Mae, hello Lily-Mae" etc - I remember a batch of Olivers at the time.

crje · 14/10/2016 11:21

I know of one boy.

Babyiwantabump · 14/10/2016 11:23

One boy one girl .

redcaryellowcar · 14/10/2016 11:33

Minty82 · 14/10/2016 11:36

newmummyagain · 14/10/2016 11:37

I live in SE I know of a James Jude (lives up north though). I think it's lovely.

AveEldon · 14/10/2016 11:37

none - SW London

Corialanusburt · 14/10/2016 11:41

2 boys in Salford. It's number 61 in most recent top 100 boys names so there will be a fair number of them about.
