I really like it.
DP is unsure.

Opinions?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I love it! It's easy to spell and pronounce, I love place names and it will really stand out amongst the sea of endless Evies and Amelies.

DixieExter · 15/10/2016 09:37

Not awful but I dislike it

Mamatallica · 15/10/2016 09:55

If you love OP then go for it, why do you care so much what other people think? It's not my taste but then I wouldn't want everyone to call their children only the names I like, that would be ridiculous.

Good morning

It did make me chuckle to see this thread reanimated Grin

Alabama isn't really still in the running although I do still love it and still think if it as no more odd than Georgia (and much prettier sounding)
I may still use it as a second name (probably will now that this thread popped back up. I take it as a sign)

Currently debating Leocadie/Romilly if the baby is a girl.
If a boy will definitely be Raphael William Xavier.

Baby is making his/her appearance via ELCS at some point on 2nd December.
I'll let you all know if Alabama gets a look in!

Wasn't Alabama a prostitute?? Grin

Congratulations whatever you choose.
I love your other children's names fwiw!

CupofTeaTime · 15/10/2016 11:15

I know a girl called Dakota, I quite like that. Alabama is a no from me

ImperialBlether · 15/10/2016 11:27

I think you're much better at choosing boys' names than girls' names, OP!

MrsRaymondReddington · 15/10/2016 13:08

What a coincidence! Mine will be called Romilly (having changed from aforementioned similar to Alabama name) and she's due in December Grin

The Carolina's, Virginia (and obv west Virginia), Louisiana, and Maryland are all named for Royals too. Not that anyone asked, but i think it interesting.

It is interesting. New York was also named for a royal: James, Duke of York who became James II and VII.

I grew up in the state of Georgia; it is actually very different from Alabama. We have two Nobel Peace Prize recipients for heavens sake! And yes, it was named for King George II.
