Hi all on here,

I'm a very long time lurker - have been since my first ever pregnancy. However, unfortunately, we haven't had a child since a couple of weeks ago. IVF and 6 years later, 3 little miracles entered the world and they belong to us. I haven't wanted to take part with all the threads until I was officially a mummy. They are almost 3 weeks and I can just about begin to see their personalities come through, as multiples tend to be early, I've only just really been able to spend lots of time with them. Names are now a must.

Yes, we have had lots of ideas, but we have to think of 6 perfect names and that's becoming a really difficult task. We thought about family names, but none are particularly lovely. However, we are fans of 'filler' middle names, but I know they're not particularly liked on here, but if none sound right with our chosen names, we may not have middle names, as much to my family's disgust! We just haven't decided.

Sorry about the long post! We have 2 daughters and a son... Boys names are therefore a lot easier. Yeah, we have a lot of ideas, but there's just too many.

We like classics for boys or biblical, so names like:
Alexander
Benjamin
Charles
Daniel
Henry
Jacob
James
Louis
Matthew
Oliver
William

For girls, we vary a lot, we like such a variety:
Annabelle
Charlotte
Ella
Grace
Isabella
Lily
Olivia
Rose

There are more and definitely open to suggestions.

Thank you all so much and very pleased to be a part of this community :)

Ah, sorry, read wrong. Thought you had a six year old! :)

Please update us with your choices.
Enjoy every second.

CoyRoy · 09/04/2016 21:14

Theodore, Rosanna and Isabella - TRI! :)

BrienneofQarth · 09/04/2016 21:25

Oh OP, you've actually made me well up! They are just so beautiful and precious, huge congratulations!

My name choices would be Daniel, Lily & Charlotte.

OrlandaFuriosa · 09/04/2016 21:33

I like your names and love your babes. 3 is quite something.

Round here Olivia is massively overused. I suspect it will date. I'm fond of it, but just saying. Ditto Lily.

The Olivers round here are all about 15. Masses if Sams aged 12-24

James is one of the few names that completely crosses the social spectrum. For that reason if no other, I like it.

marshmallowpies · 09/04/2016 21:39

Annabelle and Charlotte would be my 'girl' choices from your list, for sure - they go nicely together and are about the same length. I like Olivia too but it is very popular at the moment.

Annabelle Jane and Charlotte Grace are both lovely, with short middle names to balance the longer names. Or Annabelle Hope, as Hope would go well with Grace.

Boys names I like particularly from your list are Henry, William, Louis, Oliver, Alexander (although actually I like all of the others too!). For a middle name with a meaning, I like Felix, as it means 'happy' - my DNephew who was a preemie is called Felix as my DB and DSIL wanted a name that signified something positive after a bit of a tough start in life. Or of course Peter means 'rock', a good solid biblical meaning for a name!

Congratulations on your beautiful babies - so very lovely and precious. Flowers

Sophronia · 09/04/2016 22:50

Congratulations! Matthew, Grace and Rose would be my picks from your list.

DoSomethingKirsty · 09/04/2016 23:38

Charlotte, Isabella and James - congratulations!

Ludways · 09/04/2016 23:44

Matthew, Grace & Anna

Don't give them three long names, you'll regret it when you're writing cards and Christmas tags, lol

Ludways · 09/04/2016 23:45

Oh and... Congratulations x3

It's great being a mum!

Daydreambelievers · 09/04/2016 23:52

Congratulations they are so beautiful,
Matthew,
Charlotte,
Isabella.

manicinsomniac · 10/04/2016 05:01

Congratulations! What gorgeous babies.

Lovely list of names. I don't see a problem with 'filler' middle names at all but also think you've got enough of a list to draw from there too.

From the list, I like:
William Henry
Alexander James
Annabelle Grace
Charlotte Rose
Isabella Rose

Other ideas in the same vein:
George, Lucas, Andrew, Christopher, Joseph, Isaac, Zachary, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Joshua, Thomas

Abigail, Beatrice, Natasha, Madeleine, Miranda, Juliette, Katherine, Matilda, Natalie, Lucy, Hannah, Rebecca, Victoria, Felicity, Mary, Francesca, Imogen, Harriet

Or, if you want to consider the 'classic but more unusual' route, how about:
Alistair, Benedict, Christian, Elliot, Frederick, Jasper, John, Michael, Owen, Patrick, Quentin, Solomon, Timothy, Vincent, Xavier

Arabella, Alannah, Bronte, Claire, Cassandra, Daphne, Emmeline, Giselle, Henrietta, Josephine, Jocelyn, Kate, Lucinda, Larissa, Marianne, Nicole, Nadia, Rowena, Rhiannon, Rosemary, Rosamund, Susannah, Sylvia, Vanessa, Vivienne, Xanthe

Bellasima20 · 10/04/2016 07:24

Ah gorgeous OP!
I like:

Lily, Isabella and Jacob

OR

Louis, Isabella and Grace

xx

Beautiful! Lovely names, I think I am going to take inspiration for my dd due in a few months Grin

Off topic - your struggles expressing. Make sure you have a proper hands free proper pumping bra. They are life changing Smile and get a hospital grade pump of you don't already have one. The medela symphony is fantastic and worth every pound of the monthly rental.

Daydreambelievers · 10/04/2016 14:18

I have already suggested but what about Matthew,Charlotte and Alice (it's not on your list but I think it's such s beautiful name.

crapfatbanana · 10/04/2016 15:22

Congratulations! I hope your three beautiful children bring you so much joy.

I really like your list of names. My top three would be Annabelle (but spelled Annabel), Charles and Lily.

Ps - I have two sets of twins after years of IVF. Seems crazy after thinking I would never have children.

Enjoy every precious minute. X

Just beautiful - what a gorgeous three! So many congratulations op! I am naming just one in the summer and that is hard enough ;)

I love Annabel, Charlotte and William - Annie, Lottie and Will (for short). I know you might not think about shortening longer names but I have three now and honestly, when you are saying their names a hundred times a day or calling them all at the same time sometimes it's useful to be able to shorten.

I have an Eleanor (we call her Ella), Lucy and Jack.

New suggestions for first/middle names:
Eva/Eve
Sophie
Molly
Matilda
Florence
Mila
Aveline
Rosa/Rosie/Rose/Rosaline
Cecilia/Celia
Nina
Mia

Zachary
Sebastian
Arthur
Albert
Noah
Isaac
Samuel

Good luck and enjoy all those new born cuddles!

StDogolphin · 10/04/2016 15:41

Laurence, Elizabeth and Adaline

Phillip, Harriet and Lydia

Alexander, Annabel and Rosalind

Edward, Verity and Honour

Barnaby, Alexandra and Elizabeth

Charles, Isabel and Imogen

BendydickCuminsnatch · 10/04/2016 15:50

THREE BABIES AAAAAHHH!!! Congratulations, what total sweeties.

I vote Jacob, Charlotte and Ella.

HackerFucker22 · 10/04/2016 16:49

Don't use Lily and Rose (both beautiful names in their own right of course but you don't want a 'theme')

I'd go for William, Annabel and Rose.

JSarah · 10/04/2016 19:36

Thank you all so much :) DH is religious, so I completely respect that and go to church with him, our little ones will also come too, so I suppose they'll just decide what they want to be, but I like the idea of names that mean gift from God.

We have decided on Matthew for our little mr, it's a gorgeous name and really suits him. Look at that face!!!

We have thrown a few names around for our daughters, which are not on our list and we think they may be the ones, but we are not 100% sure so I don't want to reveal anything too soon!
