I used to teach a lovely girl called Jaiden.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 29/01/2016 19:41

I know a Jayde.

PennyHasNoSurname · 29/01/2016 19:44

I would spell it S O P H I E or something else better.

Lurkedforever1 · 29/01/2016 19:47

Spell it phonetically, c h a v v y

lljkk · 29/01/2016 19:53

Jade is very pretty. Not warming to Jaidan etc.

bloom7 · 29/01/2016 20:00

Jaiden

Sometimesithinkimbonkers · 29/01/2016 20:03

Jaiden.... I like it!

Ham69 · 29/01/2016 20:16

I wouldn't.
Jody?

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 29/01/2016 20:20

I wouldn't. Jade is fine.

SoporificHobnob · 29/01/2016 20:20

OP it looks masculine because it's a boy's name.

Lottie2611 · 29/01/2016 20:27

Jayden is an overly popular name for children. It would be the equivalent f naming a girl Liam or Craig in the 90s. Imagine the stick you'd get having a boys name in school Hmm

HayleyAnn88 · 29/01/2016 20:28

She'll spend her life with people assuming she's a boy when they see her name. My sister is Jordan and constantly gets 'Mr' and got put in a boy's group in school. She hates her name.

MyBigFatGreekYoghurt · 29/01/2016 20:33

Im sorry but the spelling is the least of your worries. please don't do it. I know you didn't ask for the opinion on the name tho

TheFallenMadonna · 29/01/2016 20:35

IME children get less stick over names than adults suppose.

JingsAndCrivens · 29/01/2016 20:46

If Jade would be her nickname anyway why not just use that as the full name?

dodobookends · 29/01/2016 20:46

I've just had a trawl round a family history names searching website and the only female spelling on there was Jaydene.

People are being obnoxiously rude.

MissAlabamaWhitman · 29/01/2016 22:34

Jayidenne

MissAlabamaWhitman · 29/01/2016 22:37

Jeyedan

MamaLazarou · 29/01/2016 22:42

Jaydenne?

iknowimcoming · 29/01/2016 22:44

I work in a reception class and we have five different spelling variations of lily-may and three of lily. I am v judgey of "quirkily spelt names". I also have a long name which has several commonly used spellings of it. Don't do it op, you are setting your child up for a lifetime of people misspelling her name, Jade is lovely, keep it simple!

MissAlabamaWhitman · 29/01/2016 22:49

You know I've read the OP a few times now.
I've no grey intellect. Yet, I can decipher that she didn't require opinions of the name itself but rather assistance in finding a suitable spelling Hmm

Evaisaiah · 29/01/2016 22:50

I would use Jayda or Jada instead.

Stephieee · 29/01/2016 22:51

I wouldn't, I see it as a boy's name, but Jaydenne or Jaiden?
