Yea middle name has to be Rae my other halfs name is ray and his grandad was ray and as he doesn't want any more children he would like the name passed down if baby was a boy would have been Freddie ray but as its a girl it's a struggle

See I like Imogen Rae would be shortened to Immie I mentioned it to him before and he wasn't keen :(

I meant that Rachel could be a feminine version of Raymond, but if it has to be rae then I'd use a different first name, or two middle names eg isla Jane rae, isla Louise rae.

You're hardly ever going to use those names together anyway...she will be Isla Surname.

I love the name Isla, so pretty. The only one I know of is the actress from the Shopaholic films. I also like Ilona. That would go well with Rae too.

Last name would be hall I think Isla poppy Rae hall is quite nice x

Enola Gay was the name of the plane used to bomb Hiroshima, named after someone's mother (the pilot, I guess).

Isla is really popular where I am too. Imogen is less popular here and I think it is such a pretty name.

the Rae suggests traveller/gypsy connections. In a romantic sort of way. (my grandmother was a gypsy)

I don't know any Islas OP but I have heard it has become a popular name. How long have you got, is it worth waiting until the official lists come out? They also give regional info so you can check your area for popularity.

Fwiw I think Isla Rae is lovely, I see what pp mean about the IRA but personally I don't think it's a link people would make on a daily basis.

Ramona is the feminine version of Raymond, although Isla Ramona is a bit of a mouthful!
