Why am I pregnant again ffs? Stupid Catholic upbringing. My body will an unsalvageable wreck and we will be living in penury for the next two decades.

Anyway. Need a girls name. I am utterly devoid of inspiration, being interested only in grab bags of Skips and having naps.

Already have an Agnes and an Enid. Surname Stephens.

Dislike: frilliness; 'ah' endings; 'classic' names.

Like: fabulous names. I was keen on Ramona the last go-round, but think I might have lost my love for it.

Any suggestions?

Olive - Ye-es...BUT. current DDs obsessed with Olives (eating them and sticking them up noses). Seems unfair?

Irene too similar to Enid?

Not unfair to do olive. Mind you, sister refused to call third son marmite which is What the older two wanted

Arsenic · 25/05/2015 12:43

Patricia runs the risk of Pat, Patty, Patsy. And Tricia. But if you don't mind that... Hmm

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 25/05/2015 12:43

Sheila

SoonToBeSix · 25/05/2015 12:43

Audrey

SylvaniansAtEase · 25/05/2015 12:43

Irene fine with Enid I think - totally different emphasis.

You'd regret Patricia - once the 50s-60s names come back in force, it'll quickly slot into the Felicity category and sound fluffy as fuck.

VanillaTwirl · 25/05/2015 12:44

Marlyn
Greta
Arlene
Janet
Ethel

Arsenic · 25/05/2015 12:44

Freda or Wallis.

(I'm very slowly working through all the girlfriends of Edward VIII, which seem to be the right kind of era Grin )

MuttonCadet · 25/05/2015 12:45

If not Olive, then Olivia?

I'm not going to be much help on this thread, I love the names you dislike, and vice versa.

But good luck with number 3 Thanks

MaureenMacnally · 25/05/2015 12:45

Ok, so vetoed Patricia. Irene on long list.
