What does Kitty say to you?

I think elegant, 1920s period drama, strong but feminine.

DH says Bunny a la Katie Price.

I am desperate to use it, but I've got some persuading to do. And he's made me wonder if I've got it completely wrong... Have I? What does it make you think?

Cat.

Really don't like it, sorry.

BikeRunSki · 26/05/2015 20:46

It says

Try a bit too hard North London Bugaboo and Boden ish
1920s/Belle Epoque/Ernest Hemmingway
Must surely be short for Catherine (or a derivative of) port child will be an adult one day....

Love it. One of my favourite girls names.

ValancyJane · 26/05/2015 20:51

I know a couple of girls named Kitty and all are lovely; it just makes me think of Pride & Prejudice! I like it :)

'Hello Kitty'.
A kitten.
Didn't Jane Austen write about a silly Kitty who ran off with unsuitable 'officers' and thereafter led a miserable life?
Shared pot of money. Put £10 in the kitty.

CrystalMcPistol · 26/05/2015 20:59

No. You're thinking of cock mad Lydia.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 26/05/2015 21:37

I picture a little girl with blond curly shoulder length hair big blue eyes rosy cheeks pale skin and a big beaming smile.
Personality. Sweet and girly as child but also with a mischevious side.
Always laughing, very creative, loves baking cakes ect.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 27/05/2015 11:04

I picture either a stripper, or Hello Kitty merchandise.

It's very much nickname territory.

expatinscotland · 27/05/2015 11:07

Kathleen, Katherine, Katriona.

This is like the female version of people wanting to name their son Kit.

SnozzberryPie · 27/05/2015 11:26

I like it as a nickname, i prefer Kathleen to Catherine as the full name.

Bluepetra · 27/05/2015 17:30

Very nice.

Stripper.

dotdotdotmustdash · 31/05/2015 16:18

A cutesy name used by a cat-lover with little imagination.
