Tiny monkey what are your already named children called???

TinyMonkey · 02/03/2015 08:45

My daughter is named after my grandmother. It's a perfectly lovely name with several, equally lovely, shortenings. Unlikely to ever become so popular that there are five in her class at school, but I'm also reasonably sure it won't ever embarrass her or make her stand out for the wrong reasons.

Please tell me this is a joke post op?

SoonToBeSix · 02/03/2015 08:54

Sorry joke thread.

Ah balls
Maidenhead...been done
MaidenChina...similar been done
Maid Marian...been done
Mädchen...been done (it is the German for 'girl' and not used as a name in German but derives from 'little maid')
Arrived too late. But if you are American, as they do surnames like Parker etc you might want to adopt Meaden....meaning: dragon-lady Wink
Cheyenne is pretty. So is Tiana. So is Sky. Maiden not so much but better than Madonna Madeline pretty.

MonkeySeeMonkeyDooo · 02/03/2015 15:50

Madeleine is pretty.
Maiden is terrible.

Rhianydd is Welsh for Maiden, maybe that could work?
