How would you pronounce Clementine?

Clemen-teen or Clemen-tyne?

I think it looks lovely written down but I only really like the 'teen' pronunciation....

Clemen-Tyne (like the little orange fruit).

Teen here. Which is how I'd pronounce the fruit too.

Has to be Tyne for the name because in the song it rhymes with mine, nine, fine, pine and entwine...

We pronounce it teen for dd.

I think Tyne is the American pronunciation; whereas teen is the traditional English pronunciation following the french.

I would have said teen. But then until reading this thread I thought the fruit was pronounced like that too

I pronounce the name and the fruit with the "teen" ending. The song I sing with the "tyne" ending. Nothing like being consistent!

I know two - one pronounced "tyne" and one "teen", so I think it is up to you!
