I presume you are kidding with Silver and Taffetta.

Tabitha - lovely
Thora - OK

NewEraNewMindset · 12/09/2014 18:42

fairyteepee · 12/09/2014 18:42

Thora is cool :)

bouncinbean · 12/09/2014 18:45

I like thora, tabitha ok, silver and taffeta just horrible as names.

ZenNudist · 12/09/2014 18:45

Silver and taffeta are not names.

Tabitha - cats name
Thora - old lady name not in a remotely cool way

likklemum · 12/09/2014 18:54

I like Silver and Tabitha. How about Sylvia or Sylvie for old movie cool names?

burgatroyd · 12/09/2014 19:10

Thora!!!

MargeryDaw · 12/09/2014 19:12

I know of a baby Silver - the mum is very cool and involved in TV.

Thora and Tabitha are gorgeous. Taffeta seems too 80s somehow

ThatBloodyWoman · 12/09/2014 19:14

Love Silver and Tabitha.

Brightbutchilly · 12/09/2014 19:15

Not keen on Taffeta and I personally have unfortunate associations with the name Tabitha but Silver is ok and Thora is great.

Kundry · 12/09/2014 19:17

Agree Silver and Taffeta are not names.

Thora is an old lady name but could be cool.

Tabitha is either the name of a cat or of a v posh girl at boarding school who does 3 day eventing.

fairyteepee · 12/09/2014 19:18

Might be mentioning that the name i choose will be to go with sister Tilly. I like the idea of them having the same initials, don't know why just do!

fairyteepee · 12/09/2014 19:21

Think Thora is my favourite as will have same initials as Tilly and same amount of letters but totally different sound. Came across Thora after miscarrying baby we intended to call Flora. Didn't feel right to use it this time around so looked for simillar sounding names and found Thora!

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 12/09/2014 19:22

Silver - No
Thora - No
Tabitha - cat or friendly witch
Taffetta - No

Weird choices - perhaps a touch of leg pulling?

fairyteepee · 12/09/2014 19:23

No leg pulling i promise

Love Thora. Love silver too but perhaps better as a middle name so you can use it but your dd won't outgrow the cuteness of it once an adults ruing to be taken seriously at work.

Purpleflamingos · 12/09/2014 19:25

Once an adult trying to be....

I swear I've only had half a glass of wine!

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 12/09/2014 19:26

are you currently pregnant? I ask because I had a hormonal moment where I thought Breeze and Tapir were good baby names at about 6 months. thankfully for DD, the moment passed.

Glittermud · 12/09/2014 19:27

Don't listen to anyone else x

BigfootFiles · 12/09/2014 19:27

Silver - Hi Ho!
Thora - first association Thora Birch, like it.
Tabitha - I know too many cats called Tabitha
Taffetta - what, like the fabric? Shall I nickname her Nylon for your now? Wink

fairyteepee · 12/09/2014 19:28

Yes i am pregnant, but as said above we miscarried in jan so we had alot of names then and have collected a list since when not pregnant so i genuinely love the list in my OP.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 12/09/2014 19:28

Just seen her sister is Tilly. You CAN'T name your new DD Silver, they will be called "Silly and Tilly"!
