Am I being silly?

I have fallen in love with the name Bloom for a girl, I like flower names but they all seem very popular. Am I being ridiculous or is it a suitable name, I need a voice of reason! (Please say I'm not!)

Hmm not convinced. Bloom is just not a nice sound to my ear.

Blossom is much nicer? I really quite like it

I don't like Blossom, either, but then I'm not all that keen on flower names with the possible exception of Rose & Violet.

I like Valentina, but would be put of by possible NN's Val & Tina, neither of which I would want.

I like Eva a lot - more likely than Valentina to have another in her class at school, but nice names are popular for a reason .

Do you like Lena (pronounced Lee-na) or Nina? They are along similar lines.

I'm really struggling nothing has wowed me yet, apart from bloom obviously. Other names on the list that I am mediocre on are vivienne, saskia and shea, this naming buisness is driving me round the bend who knew it could be so difficult to name a snuggly little baby!

I can just about imagine it on a lithe, bare foot hippy woman. But as there's a good chance she won't turn out to be a lithe, bare foot hippy I really wouldn't.

Also if she was chubby Bloom could be a bit of a curse.

What about Willow or Wren?

I like Bloom! Its got a kinda kooky Noo Yawky sorta thing goin on.

Use it as a middle name, that's what we did with our dcs.

I really like Valentina... Or Valentine. I was born on Valentines day and wish I had been given this name! There just be a good nn?! It would probably just evolve! How every I know 2 Verity's which never get shortened!

Makes me think of Orlando! How about Posy? I love that name!
