The worst baby names you have ever heard?

Just starting a list of what not to call my baby. I don't usually make a habit of judging babies by their names but some I've heard recently have been frigging awful! The most recent one being Katara it just reminds me of that phlegm when you've got a cold.

So what would you not name your baby?

Jeepster. AbbeyGale (obviously the more usual spelling is lovely).

Of course the trouble with these threads is when people assume a foreign spelling is wrong. DD2 has a middle name that is the Spanish spelling of a common British name. We use the Spanish spelling DD2 is named after her Spanish MIL. The last letter we got from school had spelt her name the English way, completely disregarding all the documentation we have given them.

Ahem. DD2 is named after her Spanish grandmother, my MIL obviously.

Err, my son is called Frank. He and his name are pretty effing perfect.

I actually like Frank!

There was a kid called Schmichael on a programme that my DCs watched not so long ago, seemed a bit daft but if his parents liked it then fair enough.

Ignatius is a great name- my friend's DF was Ignatius. Frank is cool, too. Jesus there are so many things to get wound up about in this life.. this ain't one of them! Baby names can't be horrible, cos they're attached to a gorgeous baby, so ner!

Lego, is it one L instead of 2? DD1 has the same issue. Ours begins with a g. How about yours?

Honestly these threads are in really bad taste.

Naming your children is a very personal decision, to have people laughing and insulting it is pretty horrible, don't you think?
People pick names for all different reasons. But hey. What do we know? I must have missed the approved baby name list with mine because my dd has a "made up" name (it isn't made up, btw) which is "cruel" according to collective wisdom of mumsnet, my ds1 name is chavvy and common and fuck knows what else and ds2 name.... Actually I think that's ok?
