Temperance Grace.

Yay or nay?

ConfusedandDazed24 · 13/10/2013 19:45

LOVE it!

filee777 · 13/10/2013 19:46

Not a fan, sounds like a name straight out of Bible Belt America.

scratchandsniff · 13/10/2013 19:47

Hmmm I don't think she'll thank you for that one when she's older.

piratecat · 13/10/2013 19:49

not keen, Temperance just doesn't sound how it means iyswim

Rhubarbgarden · 13/10/2013 19:51

Temperance is too clunky.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/10/2013 19:52

Oh dear. No, sorry but it's priggish.
Constance Grace
Verity Grace
both nice.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 13/10/2013 19:52

No. Sorry.

She will hate it.

cookielove · 13/10/2013 19:52

I do love it :)

cuttingpicassostoenails · 13/10/2013 19:53

I like both of them and they go well together.

BunnyLebowski · 13/10/2013 19:54

It's not nice. At all. Like most virtue names imo.

Sounds clunky and why would you name your daughter after the practice of not enjoying anything in life?!

Zipadeedoodah · 13/10/2013 19:55

Sorry no :-( try not to judge but you did ask...like Grace though...gorgeous name

ILetHimKeep20Quid · 13/10/2013 19:55

Have you considered Tabitha?

RunRabbit · 13/10/2013 19:57

I like the flow but if she doesn't like it there's no good nickname for it either. Hmm.

Love Tabitha but was looking for something a bit different.

TallulahBetty · 13/10/2013 19:59

Not keen. I like Cadence though, could that work?

Layl77 · 13/10/2013 20:00

No! Very clunky doesnt look or sound nice and I don't think the grace goes with them both ending in-ce

RandomMess · 13/10/2013 20:01

Nope not Temperance, sorry

starrystarryknut · 13/10/2013 20:05

Cadence? How bizarre... perfect, plagal, imperfect or interrupted?

YoMamma · 13/10/2013 20:07

I'm afraid I'm not keen. Reminds me of the character in Bones who is really quite annoying and shortened to Tempe which is hideous.

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 13/10/2013 20:07

I know a 3 year old temperance she gets called tempy, I wouldn't have used it but it suits her.

invicta · 13/10/2013 20:09

Quite like it, although does sound very American

TallulahBetty · 13/10/2013 20:11

Temperance just reminded me of Cadence

Disclaimer: it is gin o'clock in the Betty house.

NachoAddict · 13/10/2013 20:13

I dot like it, I love Cathy Reichs books and Bones but I hate reading the name Temperance on them, it annoys me every time.

Quite like Grace though. Elizabeth Grace maybe or Catherine Grace if you want a long first name.

Mollydoggerson · 13/10/2013 20:14

total mouthful, but if you like it go for it.

It sounds like a Baptist name.

spiderlight · 13/10/2013 20:17

What about Talitha as a slight variation on Tabitha?

Floggingmolly · 13/10/2013 20:18

It's bloody awful. If you even suspect the name you're about to lumber your child with for the rest of their life is "weird"; why would that not put it out of the running immediately? Confused
