I have always liked both these names. What do they say to you?

I don't mind tabitha but I taught a few horrible jemimas, so that name is ruined for me!

YoungBritishPissArtist · 28/08/2013 20:41

Solidly middle-class Grin Not that that's a bad thing.

FriskyHenderson · 28/08/2013 20:52

I prefer Tabitha with Lydia, and Miranda with Jemima.

Dilligufdarling · 28/08/2013 21:02

Always have loved Tabitha - I'd put it with Artemis

Littlecherublegs · 28/08/2013 21:30

First thoughts are:

Tabitha - cat
Jemima - puddleduck

Prefer Jemima.

RobinSparkles · 28/08/2013 21:31

They say to me that someone has read a lot of Beatrix Potter!

I prefer Jemima. :)

AnythingNotEverything · 28/08/2013 21:32

I like Jemima. I've never met one.

Tabitha makes me think of a cat.

Biscuitsneeded · 28/08/2013 21:34

I think they work better on animals. Sorry!

Diddle82 · 28/08/2013 21:51

Love tabitha (this is the name i wanted all through my last pregnancy but we had a boy in the end) only slight thing that put me off was not so keen on it being shortened to tabby

CityGal29 · 28/08/2013 22:33

Beatrix Potter Grin

kiwik · 28/08/2013 22:35

Animal names. DH is a vet, so has vetoed Tabitha every time.
Jemima I love though - reminds me of the rag doll in Play School.

PatriciaHolm · 28/08/2013 22:37

Tabitha is a cat, Jemima is a playschool doll ;-)

Saffyz · 28/08/2013 22:40

Safe aspirational North London names from several years ago. I'd put Matilda and Cordelia on the same list.

ZeroTolerance · 28/08/2013 22:58

Ouch Saffyz.

I love them both. Both front runners for DD.

Woodland animals in pinafores! Grin And there's me thinking they're dead classy Wink

Not together! Otherwise people will think Tabitha Twitchit and Jemima Puddleduck. Either or, but not both.

ZeroTolerance · 29/08/2013 18:36

I never meant together - only one baby coming! Should have said "or" not & Grin

Yonionekanobe · 29/08/2013 19:12

Both on my list. Both vetoed by DH who clearly has no taste Wink

efffy · 29/08/2013 19:19

Live them both, but Jemima pips it for me Smile

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 29/08/2013 19:40

They say posh and a bit prissy . Sorry

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 29/08/2013 19:41

I'm North London and Middle Class. But clearly not following the party line when it comes to names

BigKicker · 29/08/2013 22:20

I love Tabitha but decided against it as really can't stand the NN Tabby. Not really a fan of Jemima I'm afraid!

LickleLemon · 29/08/2013 22:21

Tabitha - 7 Jemimas in my DDs school of only 200 children.
