Boring and over used in a Jane Austen sort of way. Is this the best name u can think of for your individual child?

I love Emma. Its classic and the Emma I know is very successful and well liked.

I'm a huge fan of what I think of as 'graceful names' and Emma is in that bracket.

I really like it - I think it's lovely and surprisingly underused, at least where I am.

It isnt exciting or exotic, it's not unique or original, but it's a lovely, sound, traditional name. I would have called my second daughter Emma if she hadn't turned out to be a boy!

If you like how it sounds then go for it. I think it's a lovely, classic name. For some people classic means old fashioned and boring. For me it means that their name will just be their name rather than their USP...

Love it. Why try to be "original" (weird/pretentious) for the sake of it ?

There is a good reason why names are popular, because they are lovely names :)

It's a beautiful name - it's classic and so I honestly don't think it matters if lots of others use it.

Emma is a nice classic name but I prefer Elizabeth lots of lovely nn possibilities can I suggest Besty? And is my dd middle name so obviously fabulous

They are both beautiful classic names. Elizabeth has more potential for nicknames.

I quite like it, as well as other "Em" names like Emmeline, Emily etc.
