That's it really. Sasha's full name would be Alexander.

I also like Wlliam but DH won't consider it!

Exactly Snazzy. We would christen him Alexander and register him si at school but at home he'd be Sasha. He may grow to love having an unusual name with family history but if not then be could use his fullname or use any other diminutive: Sandy, Alex, Alexi, Xander.

dH loving the popularity if Reuben on this thread. He also suggested Daniel so, as he puts it, he's winning!

Ruben

*Reuben is lovely

chaya5738 · 28/01/2013 15:50

Oooooh, I love your list! It is basically the same as ours was except we didn't have Ethan and included Isaac and Nathaniel.

I prefer Reuben and Sasha.

Max is too popular now (although I do like the name).

I really don't like Ethan and think it is of quite a different type from the others on your list.

Annoying how some people keep popping up saying is a girl's name. Umm, no it's not. It is also a boy's name in lots of countries and cultures. Broaden your minds, people!

Artigene · 28/01/2013 20:50

Great taste Chaya. I love Nathaniel too but haven't put it on the list as I'm less keen on Nate and Nat. Isaac is nice but I know a few little Isaacs at the mo.

If we have another boy he'd be Ethan, so I'm voting for that

Max
Sasha
Daniel
Reuben

in that order

thislittlewineofmine · 28/01/2013 20:56

I love Ethan

thislittlewineofmine · 28/01/2013 20:57

Just noticed you spell it with an e. I prefer Ethan with an a to an e but still nice!

Max.

Can you use Sasha as a middle name if you really love it?

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2013 21:03

Had it been my choice alone, ds would have been Sacha. I LOVE it and it's a male name to me. Most of the world would agree. DH liked it but I was outvoted so ds is Raphael instead!

I know 3 Reubens under 3 and it seems to be a bit faddy atm.

Pick Sasha. Gwan gwan gwan. Lovely name.

lopsided · 28/01/2013 21:07

Sasha is lovely, I don't think it's girly. It's the nickname for Alexander. I know a couple (work with some Russians).

However it is very likely that in the UK he will use Alex outside the home when at school.

All your names are nice but I like Max the least.

Daniel
