That's it really. Sasha's full name would be Alexander.

I also like Wlliam but DH won't consider it!

Daniel. Not Sasha!! That is a terrible name!!

ScumbagCollegeDropout · 27/01/2013 09:44

Daniel.

Perfectly good name. Not many young ones around now. Works well for all ages. Dan and Danny both great nicknames.

Polkadotfanatic · 27/01/2013 10:51

Reuben means ''behold...a son!'' would use it for that reason alone :)

Sacha no matter what it's a diminutive of is too feminine sounding imo.

Ethen/Ethan - Bit 90's to my ears (sorry not meaning to offend anyone just my opinion)

Max - cute. I like.

Daniel - timeless classic, but doesnt have the ''sparkle'' of Reuben or Max to me.

Enjoy your bundle of joy :)

Reuben

ZolaBuddleia · 27/01/2013 17:58

Sasha, but why not just give him that name, rather than something completely different?

MadameCastafiore · 27/01/2013 18:01

Reuben, if DC 3 if he comes along that's what I would like to call him. Max is cool too, Maximilian though, not just Max.

Lexiesinclair · 27/01/2013 18:02

Max! I love it.

ajandjjmum · 27/01/2013 18:03

I have a Max William - so that would be my vote! Smile

Sasha - I have always loved the name

IslaValargeone · 27/01/2013 18:08

Sasha.

Artigene · 27/01/2013 18:51

Thanks. Reuben seems to lead followed by Sasha then Daniel.

Sasha is my fave but DH loves Reuben, the others are our compromises but we may well resort to a compromise. I will think more about Reuben though.

. I note comments about Sasha being feminine but I'm not too worried about that, in most of the world it's the diminutive for Alexander and used by males.

I like Alexander best. But not keen on Sasha. I thought it was a girls name.

telsa · 27/01/2013 19:28

Sasha. Lovely.

In Germany it's illegal to register a female Sacha. In Russua and the Slavic countries is predominantly male and always a nn for Alexander. In the US it's predominantly female. I can think of 2 famous bearers of the name: Sacha Baron Cohen (male) and Sasha Obama (female). So hard, I don't want to saddle him with a name he will think is too feminine.

Daniel is the safest option isn't it?
