I want to hear some funny suggestions from your DCs. This is the list that my two (aged 4 and 5 yo) would have written for their new brother or sister:

Poostand
Lovely
Bullseye
Die (my DS doesn't want another sister)

DD1 (2 1/2) wanted to call DD2 (8 days old Grin)

Weetabix
Baby Milk
Cake

Sensing a theme there?
Or occasionally, in a grumpy mood:

"What shall we call your baby sister, DD?"

"Nuffink! We call her NUFFINK!"

ivykaty44 · 23/10/2011 18:18

my dd1 age 6 did choose the babies name, and her first middle name. I got to pick her second middle name Grin

LittleMissFlustered · 23/10/2011 18:26

Kiwi I just asked my four year old what he'd call a baby, and apparently he'd not call a baby anything as he doesn't have a baby. The insinuation is that I fail for asking stupid questionsGrin

BerryLellow · 23/10/2011 18:29

DS1 was insistent that the new baby would be called either Mr Slooby or Bonjour.

I think he has overcome the disappointment now DS2 is 2 :o

effingwotnots · 23/10/2011 18:32

Dd wanted to call ds "god"

In her defence, it was during Christmas season.

sleepevader · 23/10/2011 18:32

Chicco.

Heavens knows why! Ds is 4.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 23/10/2011 18:39

My first son named my second, he was 18 months and obsessed with Peppa Pig, so my second son is called George. And no, he would not have been Peppa if he was a girl.

SurprisEs · 23/10/2011 18:40

Dumbo. It's her new favourite thing so I think she wasn't answering my question, just asking mento watch it again. She's two.

onlygirl · 23/10/2011 18:43

DS wanted to call DD Princess Isabella. We never went for that but he does still call her princess[hsmile]

ChasingSquirrels · 23/10/2011 18:44

ds1 (at 3.5y) wanted to call the baby "Woof", when persuaded that wasn't a sensible name he wanted to call the baby his name, when persuaded this wasn't an option he wanted to change his own name so that the baby could be called by his name.

Actually, he did eventually name said baby.

GusTheOneEyedPolarBear · 23/10/2011 18:44

Ds (3.9) would like bump to be called bluey for a boy and brian for a girl. He did at one point suggest jake for a boy and i think we'll incorporate this as a middle name if the baby is a boy.

stayforappledunking · 23/10/2011 18:45

Ds2 would have been pinkiepie had my dd had her way Grin

JambalayaCodfishDIE · 23/10/2011 18:47

I have a friend called Wendy, she was named by her big brother - he's called Peter. Grin

mouldyironingboard · 23/10/2011 19:05

chicken-sausage (which has remained a nickname)

Haribojoe · 23/10/2011 19:31

Suggestions for DS3, Daphne, Daffodil, Shaggy and Scooby.

Asked DS2 (3) what names he liked for DC4, Minty, Monty and Lightning.

Grin
DeliriousTante · 23/10/2011 19:38

Diego

pommedechocolat · 23/10/2011 19:44

DD1 calls the baby-in mummys-tummy 'Daisy' quite a lot. As in Upsy Daisy from In the Night Garden.

Could have been Makka Pakka!

tootssweet · 23/10/2011 20:10

Princess Cheese (found out it was a boy) changed it to Prince Cheese (v versatile name!)
Did let her have the casting vote on the final 2 choices - we're all pleased with his name (& no it's not Prince Cheese!)

IvaNighSpare · 23/10/2011 20:13

I've just been looking back at the March thread and the suggestion for kerrygray's DD was "Pigeon Minger Custard". Every time I read it, it just gets funnier. Class!
I wanted to name my DB (now 37) Florence after the character in The Magic Roundabout. I was obviously was ahead of my time.

Kayzr · 23/10/2011 20:14

DS1 wants the new baby to be called Dylan. Despite DS2 being called Dylan Hmm

Kellamity · 23/10/2011 20:15

DD wanted to call DS - Paint Hmm

IvaNighSpare · 23/10/2011 20:16

way ahead doh!!!

JumpJockey · 23/10/2011 20:22

Dd1 (just turned 2 at the time) wanted dd2 to be called:
Rubber band
Rubbish bin
Owl

So we gave her Athene, as in Athene Noctua as a middle name :)

IvaNighSpare · 23/10/2011 20:29

JumpJockey Rubbish Bin could sounds a bit exotic (innit) in French: Poubelle

spookshowangellovesit · 23/10/2011 20:34
