Sounds like a nickname to Miles to be honest and I can't really imagine a grown man being taken seriously with that name, cute on a little boy maybe. Or is it meant to be for a girl?

It also looks like Smiley but that you forgot to put the S on the birth certificate.

chelseaannejolley · 18/07/2011 12:35

miley for a girl

Oh as in Miley Cyrus? Just clicked, might be the cup of tea that I've just made that's helped.

Not my cup of tea but can think of worse. It's quite a happy name I think...

SenoritaViva · 18/07/2011 12:37

Sorry, obviously got tea on the brain.

Not my bag. It's a bit of a lightweight/fluffy name - can't imagine a solicitor (for example) called Miley.

ragged · 18/07/2011 12:51

People will think it's "Mikey" with a typo.

PaperBank · 18/07/2011 13:07

Cyrus

Nancy66 · 18/07/2011 15:08

It's not even a name - Miley Cyrus's name is Destiny - miley is just a family pet name....think you'll sound a bit daft if you call your kid it

pilates · 18/07/2011 17:47

Sorry it's awful.

shanks313 · 18/07/2011 18:01

We have a Miley and the name really suits her really well. Everyone has always said what a lovely and different name it is. She was originally going to be Mia but there was too many.

pinkytheshrinky · 18/07/2011 18:04

It is dreadful

mynameis · 18/07/2011 18:10

I know a boy Miley. Not a fan of it myself

Noleen · 18/07/2011 18:15

I think it's great! Very cool and probably won't be too popular over here as people seem to like more traditional names here.

CoteDAzur · 18/07/2011 18:18

Miley is not a name. Its Miss Cyrus' nickname, given by her dad, because she was so "smiley" as a child.

Americans seem to have adopted it as a name with the meaning "smiley." I think it sounds nice.

effingwotnots · 18/07/2011 18:35

I quite like it

iamnotsuperwoman · 18/07/2011 18:45

I like it.

Millicent, Emily, Amelia, Mildred, could all be shortened to Miley and then she could have a choice if she wants a more traditional name when she becomes PM.

freerangeeggs · 18/07/2011 21:54

No, in fifteen years it will sound daft because you named her after a shitty popstar owned by Disney.

Sorry. It does have a nice sound, I understand why you would like it. Maybe Isla?

prudaloo · 18/07/2011 22:03

No

TillyIpswitch · 19/07/2011 01:23

I would assume you were a fan of Hannah Montana. Which would be acceptable if you're 10.....

scottishmummy · 19/07/2011 01:35

manipulated adolescent popstrel
and so will everyone else if you use that baby name
wrong on every level

EricNorthmansMistressOfPotions · 19/07/2011 15:57

Noooooo it's dreadful.
