Sweet jesus no. Unless you want people like me singing at the poor child.

meditrina · 26/05/2011 20:14

It might be OK, but probably only works if you belong to a fervent branch of Christianity.

noddyholder · 26/05/2011 20:16

No too happy clappy

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 20:17

Elijah is really lovely.
Hosanna isn't... she'll be called Ho... maybe you won't mind that Hmm

EduStudent · 26/05/2011 21:31

Johanna? Similarish sound but less...well. Just think of the school assemblies!

randomimposter · 26/05/2011 21:39

Edu has picked out my name Grin

MelinaM · 26/05/2011 21:40

Hmm... me thinks no!

TooManyBlossoms · 26/05/2011 21:41

Sing Hosanna, sing Hosanna, sing Hosanna to the king of kings...

Thanks, will have that song stuck in my head all night Grin.

NomadInNowhere · 26/05/2011 22:33

I think it would be nice in a more christian country or Africa but I think it might cause some giggles at school here for her in this secular society! Its a shame because Its a nice name and idea though.

bleedingstill · 26/05/2011 22:38

wow, I detest pretentious brand new names....but ...I love it!

SpringHeeledJack · 26/05/2011 22:42

a Hosanna used to chase ds round the playground and try to kiss him

her sister was called Blessed, iirc

I think quite fondly of the name. I think tis rather sweet

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 22:42

I don't mind it being "funny" in school. I went to a hideous boarding school with an Araminta and she survived Hmm

Have my doubts with "Ho" unless it's shortened to "Anna" which is pointless as I dislike it. Hmm.

ewww.

yousankmybattleship · 26/05/2011 22:48

You are joking?

valiumbandwitch · 26/05/2011 22:51

eyoooo

What about Josie or Susannah, or Gloria!!

Hosanna is silly. Ho for short is asking for trouble.

TheCrackFox · 26/05/2011 22:59

What about Judas - due a revival, no?

CointreauVersial · 26/05/2011 23:01

I know a little girl called Sanne (pronounced Zanner). Similar, but much nicer.

Tommy · 26/05/2011 23:02

Susannah - so much nicer!

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 23:04

For a girl?

Would've gone with Lucifer, but I've picked my boys names. Thanks for your suggest CrackHeadFox Grin
