Girls:

Berengaria. I have always loved that name.
Andromeda
Cassopeia
Oenone
Artemisia
Elektra
(actually I love most classical greek names)
Hepzibah
Bathsheba
Calpurnia (I love the euphony of the name, not the meaning)

Inigo (actually, if I have a boy I will call him that, surname is Jones so will be marvellous
Percival
Lysander
Magnus

These threads are always ill advised.

And I'm not lying, but one of my DC's names is on here. It isn't a ludicrous name; I know you're having a larf, but some people would be hurt.

And I have been suggesting 'Inigo' all over mn today... it's not that oddball!

Okey dokey, ludicrous is not the right word. I love and adore the names in the OP so is not meant as an insult, far from it.

Think thread title should be fabulous names I am not brave enough to us.

I think Inigo is fantastic, I would seriously use that, and not just because my surname is Jones. It just sounds great.

NO offense meant, honest guv.

GitAwfMayLend · 01/05/2011 23:41

(if it's Oenone I will not be happy, that's MY name)

ChateauRouge · 01/05/2011 23:46

Why are you envious if it's ludicrous? Wink

I cannot say which one sadly... far too identifiable.

WorzselMaamage · 01/05/2011 23:52

Delilah :)

Love all the names mentioned so far!

PortBlackSandwitch · 01/05/2011 23:54

DS2 has a very unusual name - i have only ever heard of two before.....i was so pleased we chose it at the time and still am now .... and he loves it too (thank God)...

It's an old English name btw not a made up one.

GitAwfMayLend · 01/05/2011 23:55

I would love to be aristocratic and rich.

I would have a stableful of kids and use all these wonderful names.

I love classical Greek names. My dd has one (but very normal, Sophia) which I chose because of the meaning. I wish I had bitten the bullet and called her Artemis or something.

My contribution is Ninian.

OneBadAsp · 02/05/2011 00:32

one of my DM's friends worked as part-time for an insurance company before selling on ebay. last i heard of her, she was spending 15k a month at a wholesale warehouse, making it back plus 30k a month, every month. she employs 5 people, including her own DM. that was a couple of years ago, and i presume she is still going. she only had herself and her young DS to provide for so she was pretty well off in the end!

OneBadAsp · 02/05/2011 00:33

aaargh completely wrong thread!

My brother had a friend named "Athenasis" (Athen-ass-is) God I just love saying that name. We are not Greek and I think it would be absurd to use it but I just love it all the same.

MollyMurphy · 02/05/2011 02:04

Oh Missred please don't use "Candida" - which is a yeast fungus,. one strain of which can cause some concern down in ones...ah....lady bits...-lol!

Smile
Tolalola · 02/05/2011 02:05

Oh god Grin loads of these names are on my shortlist. In fact, I think my entire boys shortlist has been mentioned with the exception of one name.

ohnoshedittant · 02/05/2011 02:12

some of these names sound like sneezes.

I know two little Inigo's, so not that 'out there'.

manicinsomniac · 02/05/2011 04:27

I have a secret love of 'hippie' names which really wouldn't fit in with my supposed image or the area where I live but I still like them (but would never use):
Ocean
Rainbow
Storm
Blue
September
Misty

I actually know the following:
Ptolemy
Antigone
Tiberius
Spartacus

CheerfulYank · 02/05/2011 04:42
