A virtual prize. :).

Hmmm, well she said a Cornish name for the middle name. That has to be 'Loveday'.

For the first name I guess Eleanor, Jane, Sarah or Susannah.

Juliet or Flora for first name.
Cornish name second
Then Mary (after grandmother)

yellowflowers · 25/08/2010 15:11

Why so gagamama is because I don't want people to think we have named our baby after a Tory PM. Urgh!

thatsnotmyfruitshoot · 25/08/2010 15:16

Treliske?
Kelly?
Roskilly?

I live in Cornwall and don't know anyone called Loveday. I'm going with Lowenna for the Cornish connection..

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 25/08/2010 15:31

I do, thatsnot. My bet is on Lowenna too. or Jennifer. Or what about something really out there. I fancy Winwaloe.

BigBadMummy · 25/08/2010 16:05

I am sure this has been said before but I haven't read the whole thread.

When DD2 heard on the radio that a COrnish name was likely to be chosen she piped up:

"they should call her Pastie".

I nearly crashed the car

They've named her Florence Rose Endelion - just spotted it on BBC website

LucyLouLou · 25/08/2010 16:20

Yeah, I saw that too. The Rose part is nice. The rest....Hmm IMO.

Hulababy · 25/08/2010 16:26

I love Florence Rose; beautiful name.

Florence is my favourite girl's name at the moment.

I assume Endellion is cornish? Perhaps added most recently due to the Cornwall birth.

mathanxiety · 25/08/2010 16:27

Endelion is a bit like Dandelion....

JustAnotherManicMummy · 25/08/2010 16:27

I can confirm they were in Daymer Bay (MIL lives nearby).

I'll have 10p on Beryl please.

Kathleen123 · 25/08/2010 16:30

I think if shortened to Flo - Flo Cameron - it is a good name. Florrie Cameron IMHO does not go so well.

youremindmeofthebabe · 25/08/2010 16:33

Do I get a prize for Florence?Wink

orienteerer · 25/08/2010 16:33

Just announced - Florence Rose Endellion(sp)

orienteerer · 25/08/2010 16:34

Ixora must get a point for Endelion?

compo · 25/08/2010 16:40

did anyone win???

missmoopy · 25/08/2010 16:42

Endellion is a village near where they were holidaying.

OliviaMumsnet · 25/08/2010 16:47

Well, youremindmeofthebabe, strictly speaking, cuppateajanice should get it as she was first and didn't hedge her bets.
And acksherly no prize was offered.

In the meantime you can bask in the virtual glory.
But we may have a look in the cupboard and see if there's something small but prize-worthy we can post to you and cuppatea. Cos we're nice like that. Grin

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/08/2010 16:50

I am so glad my ds wasn't a dd otherwise he would have been called Florence (and our surname is Cameron Confused)

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 25/08/2010 16:52

go Ixora! I thought she'd gone a bit mad when she suggested Endellion. But she knew...

morganlebuffay · 25/08/2010 16:58

Endellion is a saint (village named after her). I like it.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/08/2010 16:59

I think ShadesOfViolet was the first to suggest Florence. But Ixora should get an extremely large virtual prize for coming up with Endellion.

Am changing DD's name to Harlyn

Raahh · 25/08/2010 17:06

I wanted Florence for this baby-it was my gran's name- but DH doesn't like FLo, and everyone laughed when I suggested FlossieSad.

It is very popular at the moment, though, and they haven't gone for very popular in the past.
